I'm a young, spunky gal who loves to play. I get along great with other dogs and I'm always up for a game of fetch or tug-of-war. I'm friendly and sweet, and I love to give kisses and cuddle up close. My ideal day would be a nice walk, some playtime, and lots of belly rubs. I'm full of love and energy and I can't wait to share it with a family of my own. I did find out that I am heartworm positive, but with treatment provided by K-9 Lifesavers, I will be good as new in no time. Adopting me means gaining a loyal, loving companion who will always be there to brighten your day. Fill out an application today and let's make some wonderful memories together! To learn more about heartworm please visit: https://www.webmd.com/pets/dogs/features/heartworms-in-dogs-facts-and-mythsYour new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. BeeBee has an outgoing, friendly personality, and she just adores people and will seek their attention and affection. She is mostly housetrained, but may need an initial refresher to help her adapt to a new environment. She is not a fan of being crated and will bark, but when uncrated, she is not typically a big barker. Her ideal home would have a fenced yard and she would do well with an individual or a family with older, gentle kids. She also gets along best with smaller dogs and could make a nice companion in a home with another small dog. Story
This little pretty chocolate dappled girl is called Mazie and goodness what a cracker jack she is.  Don’t for minute let those green eyes and chocolate marbled coat fool you to think she is gentle or easy.  She is the CEO of dogs and will run the show at your house if given the chance.  Mazie is 30 pounds and 9 months old.  She is a breed mix of Dachshund and Basset Hound we are told.  Her pics make her look big but she is a “tiny but mighty” little girl.  Mazie is not a fan of any other female dogs in her life or around her.  We don’t know where that came from but the dislike is there so we say…don’t ignore the warning.  She is great with big male dogs, not good with other small dogs or cats, but loves people deeply and wants to be around them.  She needs a fenced yard because she is a runner as most Dachshunds can be and she needs to be able to run and play and get her energy out daily.  Older children would be better for her and she is crate trained, 90% housebroken and she adores going for walks; a very good girl on a leash we can say.  She is beautiful but a “tad” bit complicated, which is why we have outlined the Likes and Dislikes of this girl to a TEE!  We want the right and perfect home and there are lots out there that can give her that.  Tiny but Mighty little Mazie is ready for a home NOW!  Please email us at Critter Cavalry Rescue : ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Tell us where you live when you email asking for information and an application. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
This adorable girl definitely has a before and after story and Critter Cavalry is so excited to be part of a great future and a change in her life. Her name is Gidget and she's a 2-year-old 34 lb Doodle mix girl that was running as a stray for some time in a very rural County of Tennessee. She was finally caught and trembled as she sat in her kennel run at the small shelter. They knew she would never improve if she stayed in that kennel waiting for someone to find her so a kind groomer with a rescue heart was notified.  This girl was an emergency emotionally and physically and needed to get her cleaned up and shaved down and leave the shelter.  Soon, she was smiling and feeling like a new dog!  The before and after pictures are amazing aren't they?  She has a lot of energy and would do best with a dog that can hold his own with her.  She is going to be a victory  story of redemption. Would you like to be a part of that story and write her future in your book of life?  You will certainly make a difference and define your intention to rescue dramatically by adopting this girl Gidget.  Please contact Critter Cavalry rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and let us know where you live as you inquire. She's located in Tennessee but is able to transport northward on a weekend transportation.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 18, 2024, 6:08 pm

Story
I'm seeking a new family for Luke, a kind and smart 6-year-old doxipoo. We live in Rockville, MD. Luke is hypoallergenic, up-to-date on shots, and has a dachshund personality with poodle intelligence. He's not neutered and dislikes big dogs, but likes kids. Luke has been with us since birth, but needs a new family to love him. We'd like occasional visits. Please respond only if you're committed to caring for him. Thanks, Ovi.
