Story
Current Location: Annandale, VA 🐾 Meet Marge: The Professional Squeaker & Olympic Sprinter! 🐾 Looking for the country’s 5th most popular breed with a 1st-place personality? Meet Marge, a high-speed, low-riding Dachshund who is ready to bring the "zoomies" to your living room! The Marge Scouting Report: The Den-to-Kitchen 500: Marge is a literal blur. She specializes in high-speed laps between the den and the kitchen, powered by her tiny legs and pure determination. Squeaky Toy Specialist: Marge loves her toys with a passion—specifically, she loves them until they literally can’t squeak anymore. If it squeaks, Marge will find it; if it stops squeaking, Marge has done her job. The Pogo-Stick Greeting: Don't let the short legs fool you. Marge has a vertical leap that would make a pro athlete jealous. She hops like a pogo stick to see what’s on the counter (snacks?) and to get high enough to pepper you with "welcome home" kisses. Your Personal Shadow: Marge has a big heart and an even bigger voice when she’s missing you. If she’s not right by your side, she’ll let out a "Where are you?!" bark to let you know she’s ready for more together time. She’s a girl who truly values her "person." Her Social Life: Walks: A total pro on the leash! She’s an expert sniffer who takes her "p-mail" very seriously. Friends: Marge is a fan of other dogs, especially the big ones! She might be small, but she hangs with the best of them. First Dates: She can be a little timid when meeting new people, but don’t let that fool you—she warms up quickly and will be nudging your hand for attention in no time. If you have a steady supply of squeaky toys and a spot on the couch right next to you, Marge is your girl.

Story
Whimsy is a quiet, steady companion who enjoys simply being part of your world—without needing to be handled or touched unless she chooses to be. She shows affection in her own way and on her own terms, making her a wonderful match for someone who appreciates a dog that values personal space and calm companionship. She’s wonderfully independent, happy to relax nearby, join you for an outing, or hang out while you go about your day. She doesn’t seek out physical affection, but she does enjoy being close and included. When it’s time for fun, Whimsy has playful, high-energy moments. The rest of the time, she’s a laid-back couch potato who is easy to live with. She’s crate trained, walks beautifully on a leash, rides well in the car, and stays calm and quiet in the home. She’s observant, gentle in her own way, and content to entertain herself. Whimsy would do best in a home without cats. If you’re looking for a calm yet spirited dog who offers companionship without constant physical contact, Whimsy might be exactly who you’ve been hoping for. Her adoption fee of $300 covers her spay, vaccines, parasite prevention, and a microchip. Visit www.fullcirclerescueandsanctuary.com to fill out an application.

Story
Willy is an 8 year old dachshund mix with a story that proves sometimes the sweetest souls just need a little time to feel safe again. He came to Full Circle Rescue and Sanctuary after his owner surrendered him to the shelter, and to say he was overwhelmed would be an understatement. The shelter was loud, scary, and confusing, and Willy coped the only way he knew how by panicking and acting like a tiny chaos gremlin. Once he landed in foster care and realized the world was not, in fact, ending, everything changed. After a few weeks to decompress and rebuild trust, Willy showed everyone who he truly is: a gentle, independent little guy with a soft heart and excellent house manners. He is house trained, crate trained (though he would vote to abolish crates entirely if given the chance), and settles nicely into a calm routine. Willy is almost blind, but don’t tell him that. He navigates life just fine, confidently finding his way around and happily toddling through the yard and exploring the farm. He especially loves being outside, taking in the smells and sunshine at his own relaxed pace. He enjoys being brushed, gets along well with other dogs, cats, and even chickens. His perfect home would be quiet and predictable. Willy would thrive with a retired person or someone living a slower paced lifestyle who simply wants a loyal little companion nearby. Because he startles easily, a home without children is best for him. He is not needy or clingy, just happiest sharing space with his person and knowing he belongs. Willy has already done the hard part learning to trust again. Now he is just waiting for a soft landing and someone to love him for the wonderful little dog he is. Adoption fee: $300 Includes neuter, vaccines, parasite prevention, and microchip. Apply at www.fullcirclerescueandsanctuary.com to give Willy the calm, loving home he deserves.

Story
Current Location: Parsonsburg, MD Meet Violet Violet has spent the last little while making sure everyone else was taken care of. She raised her puppies, loved them well, and sent them off into wonderful new homes one by one. And now, for the first time, it is her turn. She is one yr old, 35 lb of Basset Hound mix, and she is ready. Ready for her own family, her own couch, her own people to love and be loved by. She has already proven what kind of heart she has and it is a big one. Violet is wonderful with children and gets along beautifully with other dogs. She is gentle, warm, and has a natural sweetness about her that draws people in immediately. Those long silky ears and deep golden eyes carry a kindness and a quiet hope that will stop you in your tracks the first time you look at her. She has been through a lot for a one year old and she has come through it with grace and goodness fully intact. She deserves a home that sees all of that. A family that understands they are getting something truly special in Violet. A dog who knows how to love deeply, who has already given so much of herself, and who is now ready to receive every bit of the warmth and devotion that she has always deserved. Violet waited patiently while her puppies found their people. Now it is time for her to find hers.
