Baligo is a 6 year old dachshund. After the loss of his previous owner, this resilient little guy is looking for a new lap to call home. While he was born blind, he certainly doesn't let that slow him down! He navigates his environment with impressive confidence and learns new layouts remarkably fast. He is a true "Velcro dog." If you are sitting down, he wants to be right next to you (or on you!). He is potty-trained and good with other dogs but not cats. Watching him navigate the world is a daily reminder of how adaptable and joyful dogs can be. If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting this baby, please fill out an application. They currently are fixed, up to date on shots, wormings, preventatives and are microchipped (with lifetime registration). Meet Pretzel! ??This 32lb, 18-month-old Dachshund found herself at the shelter after being picked up by animal control while running loose. While the shelter can be a bit chaotic and noisy for her, she’s handling it like a champ—she may be a little timid at first, but she truly hasn’t met a stranger yet!Once she feels comfortable, her super friendly personality shines through. She loves everyone she meets and absolutely adores human affection. Playtime is one of her favorite things, especially when squeaky toys are involved, and she’s highly motivated by treats (which makes her extra fun to spoil!).Pretzel also walks great on a leash and enjoys getting out for some fresh air and exploration. With her sweet nature, playful energy, and loving heart, Pretzel is ready to find a forever home where she can feel safe, cherished, and loved.We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only.
