Story
Bunny is the sweetest, most adventurous puppy I’ve ever met. I received her at the age of 3 months. She was accustomed to living with many dogs. She liked to play rough with my senior dog. My senior dog hasn’t been happy. I think Bunny would be a good fit for someone who has time to play with her. She does not like being alone. She is 95% house trained. She will use the puppy pads. However, she will find a fun place to poop if she is not supervised. Overall, I want her to go to loving home where her playfulness is appreciated.

Story
This girl has been through it for someone so young and cute. Despite everything she has been through, she has been nothing but a total love that is so appreciative of the kindness she's being shown in her foster home. She is gaining weight and learning how to be a puppy in a safe and loving environment for the first time in her young life. We are working on house training and crate training, while gaining her trust. We aren't sure what breed her and her brothers are, but based on the boys' looks we made a guess. Their Story:On Monday/Tuesday 1/19/25, Ludowici PD was called to three skinny and young puppies in a local park. Once the officer arrived on scene, he saw the horrible condition they were in and watched them eating acorns and sticks to fill their empty bellies. He called to get the local animal control to come pick them up, but they refused so he loaded them in his truck, and contacted his boss for advice on what to do. Being a huge animal advocate the officer tried different rescues until he contacted us through his wife. He was given permission to bring them home. The puppies were not only starving and in horrible physical condition, they were covered and sticky with their own feces in urine to the point they needed baths asap at 2am. All three are thriving and even the littlest one Richas, that's super shy, is finally starting to get comfortable.

Story
Hey there, I’m Harry, and I’m a total daddy’s boy! My favorite thing is hanging out with my person, especially if you’re someone who enjoys having a loyal sidekick by your side. Whether we’re relaxing on the couch, exploring the backyard, or just chilling, I’ll be your steadfast buddy.   I’m an outdoor enthusiast. I’m not big on leashes (they’re just not my thing!), so a fenced yard would be good for me. I love being outside!   I use pee pads since I have Cushing’s. It’s no big deal, really—it just means I pee more often than your average pup. With some regular vet care and a consistent routine, managing my Cushing’s is totally doable.   I’m independent but affectionate, and I’ll come looking for some love when I’m in the mood.  If you’re looking for a fun-loving, outdoorsy pup with a dash of independence and a lot of heart, I might be the perfect match for you.     Note About Cushing’s   Cushing’s disease in dogs happens when there’s an overproduction of cortisol. While it might sound scary, it’s manageable with proper care. I take medication to help regulate things. You might notice I drink more water and need to pee more often—that’s just part of who I am, and as long as we stick to my routine, I’m good to go.   ----- Harry is part of a bonded pair. Learn more about his sister Carly here. If you know that I am your forever pup, please fill out an adoption application at https://daretorescue.org/adoption-application. Don't forget to put my NAME on your application! If you cannot adopt me but would like to help DARE pay for my care before I am adopted by my forever family, donate online at https://daretorescue.org/donation or send a check made payable to DARE to:DAREPO Box 21161Tampa, FL 32210     Even if you do not see a dog that matches what you're looking for, you may fill out a no obligation application at https://daretorescue.org/adoption-application and we will work to find a match for you. We receive dogs into foster care frequently, so it is impossible to have every available or soon-to-be-available dog on the website.December 30, 2024, 12:20 pm

Story
Hi, I’m Carly, and once I get to know you, I’m full of playful energy! At first, I can be a little shy and timid, but my personality is really starting to shine. I love being outside—especially when I can run fast and chase squirrels. I even get the zoomies now and then! I’m still learning how to walk on a leash, so I’d do best in a home with a fenced yard where I can safely explore. I have some extra skin that needs to be kept clean to prevent irritation, but it’s no big deal—I don’t mind as long as it keeps me comfy. I’m not super vocal about needing to go outside, so I’ll need someone who can keep a close eye on me. But once you get me outside, I’m ready for fun! If you’re looking for a sweet, playful girl who loves the outdoors, I’m here waiting for my forever home!   Hi there, I’m Carly, and let me tell you—I’m a little bundle of love and fun!    One of my favorite things in the whole world is being outside. Whether I’m running fast, chasing squirrels, or just exploring my fenced yard, I’m happiest when I’ve got some sunshine and fresh air. Sometimes I even get the zoomies—just try to keep up! I’m also a bit of a digger, so a yard where I can safely channel my inner archaeologist would be amazing.   And guess what? I’m a total sweetheart when it comes to other dogs. I love snuggling up with my foster brother Harry (I even wash his ears and face!) or sharing a cozy bed with my furry friends.   If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion who adores the outdoors and will keep you smiling with her unique charm, I might just be the one for you. ---------- Carly is part of a bonded pair. Story
Hi, I’m Hambone! Life may have thrown me a few curveballs, but I’ve got a heart full of love and a nose for adventure. Sure, I’m completely blind and mostly deaf, but that doesn’t stop me from exploring the world around me. I’m about 12 years old, give or take, but I still have plenty of spirit left in this little 10-pound body! When I’m not wandering and sniffing my way through new spaces, you’ll find me happily snoozing under a mountain of blankets. I also love being held and snuggled; there’s no such thing as too much affection in my book. I’m great with other dogs and would love a house with another dog my age to curl up with in a cozy dog bed.  Housebreaking? Take me outside, and I’ll do my business, but I’m also fine with a belly wrap when needed.  I’ve been through some tough times, but thanks to my amazing foster family, I’m on the mend. My skin is healing, and my eye drops are helping with dry eye and an infection that’s improving every day.  If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly boy to share your heart and home, I’m right here waiting for you.   If you know that I am your forever pup, please fill out an adoption application at https://daretorescue.org/adoption-application.
