Story
Joey is the friendliest little greeter.  He never meets a stranger.  He is crate trained and working on fine tuning his house training.  He LOVES to go for walks.  He maybe 10, but shhhh dont tell him, he thinks he is 5.  He loves to burrow under blankets and keep your lap warm.  You can't ask for a better companion.  He gets along great with other dogs. *Joey is Bonded with his fur sister, Maggie.  They have a special bond and have been together for over 5 years.  They would love a home together.* Apply for consideration to adopt at www.ruffdogrescue.org  Please note, we receive a large number of applications. We appreciate your patience as we complete our review processes. A personal interview, reference checks, meet and greet with pet, home visit and a solid vet history are required for adoption.  Ruff Dog Rescue—Turning RUFF Starts into New Beginnings. ##2333183##

Story
Got him as a puppy. He has been such an amazing dog. He absolutely loves cuddling and does not leave your side. He loves being loved. He walks great on a leash and loves to carry packages and mail back home. He is great with other dogs, at dog parks he’d rather be sitting next to you instead of playing with the rest of the dogs. We brought home our baby in August and he has been very protective of him but does not allow my husband, family, or friends around the baby. I hate to rehome him as I’ve had since he was a puppy but my husband is tired of being barked at every time he’s around the baby.

Story
We found Lucy at a shelter in 2016 and thought she was the cutest puppy there was. Her big ears and beautiful brown eyes made her an instant adoption. We have had her for about 9 years now and throughout those years she has been the sweetest girl to us and our Cat, Fifi. Even though she isn’t too fond of other dogs, she is the best with people. Right now our family is running into some major financial problems and I just can’t take care of her like I wish I could. She deserves the best, so we are hoping to find a calm home, preferably with no animals, that is willing to be there for her, and love her as much as we do.

Story
Meet Archie Little Archie has the sweetest eyes and cutest ears! Archie and his brother Tucker were surrendered when their family lost their home. Sadly, their precious mom had been run over and the boys were living outside. We gladly accepted the siblings into our no-kill shelter. They were cleaned up, fed and whisked off to foster care where they are thriving. We think they might be dachshund/beagle mixes but who knows? We just know they are adorable. He and his brother do not have to be adopted together. Archie is ball of energy and loves playing with other pups. The boys play all day and then collapse in a puppy pile to reenergize. Lol! Archie is sweet, silly, out-going and friendly. His mom was small to medium size and Archie looks to take after her. He is absolutely adorable and ready to find his forever home. If looking for a couple of terrific puppies, get your application in. If interested in welcoming Archie and Tucker to your heart and home, please submit an application online at: www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org. Once you’re on our home page, you can click on “How To Adopt” to pull up the dog application form. Please email our shelter (smithgallhumanesociety@windstream.net) or call our shelter at 706-865-4135 and leave a message to make sure we received your application. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually operates at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.

Meet Tucker Sweet Tucker and his brother Archie were surrendered when his family fell on hard times. His mama was run over. He and his brother survived but were living outside. Once they were surrendered, the brothers were cleaned up, fed and put into foster care. They are thriving! Tucker may be shy of the camera but he’s an energetic, happy and healthy puppy. He and Archie play all day until they are spent, and only then is it time for a nap. Lol! Tucker is curious, playful, sweet and ready to find a loving family. We’re not sure what his breeds are but mom was small/ medium size. We are guessing maybe dachshund/beagle mix. Tucker isn’t growing a ton and may take after mom. If looking for an adorable six month old puppy to welcome to your family Tucker and Archie are pretty cute! They are not a bonded pair and do not need to be adopted together. Get your application in!
