Story
Meet Kylo! He was adopted on May the 4th, so it felt like a very appropriate name. Kylo was born in December of 2018. His Rabies vaccine is up-to-date, but everything else just expired at the end of this October. When he was adopted, I was married, worked from home, had a big back yard with a doggie-door- puppy Heaven! Unfortunately, none of that is true any longer and I've had to move into an apartment complex. Kylo is displaying separation anxiety by whining and barking the ENTIRE time I'm gone, which, with commuting from Ooltewah downtown every day to get to the office, is about 10 hours and WAY more than any dog should be alone. The neighbors are, understandably, complaining to my landlord, who has given me a week to figure this out. I have been trying to figure this out since moving in several months ago- you name it, I've tried it. I'm out of time and resources. Please help him. He's such a sweet guy. He just needs someone who is home all day.

Story
Bear is a Dachshund Shepherd mix. He is very gentle around people and loves to play with other dogs. Bear is one of those big dogs with short legs that are so incredibly cute. And the big news is he is housetrained. We can test him with cats if needed. He will need a fenced yard.To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Story
Come meet Brownie, he's as sweet as his name implies. This adorable Dachshund mix, is new to us and a bit shy. He's settling in and opening up to the volunteers, enjoying their pats and attention. Playtime is a favorite time for him, loves the other dogs in his play group. Cats we aren't sure of, but easy for us to check. Brownie is housetrained and ready to move in with his new family! A home with a fenced yard is always a plus. Great for exploring, playtime and just "chillin out"To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Meet Juan; he is an adorable dachshund who found himself in our shelter. As one of our volunteers explained it looked as if someone took a paint brush and painted markings on him. He is so sweet and playful. He is waiting for a family to give him the best life possible. He is roughly 4 years old so still has lots of energy for playtime. To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved.
