Story
Hundley is 9 years old and has lived with us since he was 10 months old. He is a very sweet dog and loves to play with a tennis ball. Hundley has a lot of anxiety and it has gotten worse as he has gotten older. I work 7 days a week and many of the days are long hours, so I don’t have the time to dedicate to fix his behaviors. He gets along with kids and other animals most of the time, but if he feels threatened, he is hard to redirect. He has gotten into fights with my other dog because of this and has gotten lucky that he has only had a few minor injuries. Hundley needs to be with someone that has the time and patience that he needs.

Story
Amber is a gentle and loving 1-year-old Dachshund who is ready to find her forever home. Amber is an incredibly affectionate dog who loves to cuddle and be close to her people. She has a sweet temperament and enjoys snuggling up after a long day of playing or going for walks. This little girl has shown remarkable resilience and a heart full of love. Amber was diagnosed with demodex mange and a secondary skin infection on intake, both of which have been successfully treated. While her skin has healed, her fur is still regrowing. While her skin issues have been resolved, Amber may have underlying skin allergies that could require long-term management. If you are considering adopting Amber, please be prepared for the possibility of ongoing care to keep her skin healthy and comfortable. However, with proper attention and treatment, she will continue to thrive! Amber would do well in a loving home that can provide her with the care and attention she deserves. She is ready to shower you with love and affection! Come and meet her today!

Story
I adopted Oliver from a family friend when he was 6 weeks old. He is about to turn 8 years old in January. His mother is a standard dachshund, and he is mixed with chihuahua and maltese. He's a medium sized dog despite his mix. Oliver is extremely friendly and loving but a needy boy and often demands attention and food. I have to keep him on low-calorie dog food due to being so food motivated and being prone to obesity. He loves to be with you and snuggle and is used to the companionship of 2 other dogs, but he does perfectly fine alone as well. He could thrive in a lot of different environments. For an older boy, he has a TON of energy for playing, walks, or for going to the park but won't overwhelm you when you're just chilling inside your house. He has been a joy to my life since I've had him. I am working on getting him an anesthetic dental cleaning (his teeth are admittedly not in good shape currently) and his updated rabies vaccination that's due in December.
