Story
Pina is a 1 year old female. She weighs 13 pounds. Pina is good with other dogs. She came from a hoarder house and is a weirdo. She’s not at all aggressive, but the inbreeding that happened in that house was hard on her. She likes to be pet, but gets scared of hands sometimes. Her eyes are structurally not correct and she’s been like that since birth. She can see, but mostly shadows and light and dark. She is crate trained and likes to know how things go, a strict schedule isn’t necessary, but her place to eat and sleep should be consistent. Sometimes she runs in circles, but she isn’t bothered by it She will need a patient family, but she is well worth it! Truman is a 9 year old 17 pound boy. Came to us with a mouthful of rotten teeth and huge lymph nodes. His impressive tongue has only one tooth to try to wrangle it and it’s not doing a very good job. Story
Sweet and shy girl that came to us from Puerto Rico 7 years old 13 pounds Her life was HARD before DRSF. She lost an eye The scar across her snout is where someone tied it shut and it cut into her. Nuvia is a work in progress and we know we will need a special adopter for this little one. She loves her people (as you can see by how comfortable she is being held like a baby) and she adapts to new situations, but needs some time Her potty skills are a work in progress, but she is working with a trainer to keep improving those skills. She’s a bit afraid of other dogs, would probably be ok with an older mellow dog, but a younger rambunctious dog or multiple dogs will not be good for her A busy household will not be the best fit for her and small children wouldn’t work with her We are hopeful that there is the perfect family out there for her !If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the DRSF Online Adoption form.My adoption fee covers all my (prior) vet care (adopter receives vet records).  For more information refer to the DRSF Adoption Fee page.If you have any questions about adoption or want more info, you can email: info@dachshundrescuesouthflorida.comNovember 7, 2024, 9:35 am
