Scooby is a 5 year old Dachshund Bully mix weighing approximately 35 pounds. He was surrendered when his owner lost her job and was forced to move in with relatives. You can see the sadness in his eyes ☹. He is very timid and laid back, complacent and mellow. Needless to say, he is very depressed and won’t even eat (not even treats). His adoption donation is $250 which includes his neuter, vaccinations, microchip. He is heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. Peanut was purchased 4 weeks ago from someone on Craig’s list. I was approached by a friend of the family that purchased him stating they didn’t want him as he was “too clingy and needy”. I was afraid they would dump him so as an experienced dachshund Mom I took him in. I’m told that he is 18 months old. I am planning to get all his shots updated because I don’t trust that they’ve been done and I’m also willing to have him neutered. He’s a sweet little man. I have my hands full with a full-time job and my daughter who is going to school in Washington State is about to give me my first grandchild in January. I need to be able to go back-and-forth to Washington and I don’t feel it’s fair to Peanut to board him or putting him with a house sitter. He’s just becoming acclimated and relaxing. He doesn’t bite. He’s yippee like all dachshunds and he either is friends with my cats or kind of a bully with them. The cats are older and not very impressed. He gets along beautifully with my dogs

This is Randy. I adopted him in 2012 when he was 1. He was abused by his first owner. Randy was my best buddy but then I had kids and am a single mom which has made it really hard to give him the attention he needs. He just loves to love one person and will be attached to you if you let him. He doesn’t love other dogs specifically when he sees them walking outside. Thank you for considering Randy.

Louie is a 3 year old, 14 pound Dachshund mix that was in a hoarding situation with 30 other dogs. A rescue came and took 15 dogs, leaving the others there, so animal came and confiscated the others. It has taken Louie a while to feel safe and comfortable and now he will not leave his foster mom's side. He would be happiest to be in his foster mom's lap 24/7. He has gotten along wonderfully with all of the dogs, the litter of pups, and the chickens in his foster home. Louie has been neutered, vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and is heartworm negative. Apply to Adopt Me! Rudy is a sweet, affectionate chiweenie (dachshund/chihuahua mix) who is approx. 3 years old and weighs 14lbs. This boy is ready for a fresh start. Rudy adores cozy blankets, being close to his people, and soaking up attention. He’s currently healing from minor dermatitis and is doing great with loving care. He's been extremely sweet with kids in the home, is crate trained and doing well with house training. Rudy walks well on a leash and loves to go for walks. He is a bit barky to other dogs at a distance, and although his foster mom doesn't have other dogs, we believe he will be fine once he gets to know a friendly doggy friend. He hasn't started playing with toys yet, but does love his Benebone. He rides well in a car, and sleeps quietly through the night. Rudy is a loyal, cuddly companion who believes in second chances.
