Story
💔 Meet Scotchy 💔 When 14-year-old Scotchy was scheduled for euthanasia, we stepped in to make sure this happy, healthy senior got the chance he deserves. His family said he was still full of life — they just didn’t think anyone would want an older dog. At 20 lbs, this handsome Dachshund is in great shape for his age! He’s neutered, up to date on vet care, recently had lab work and a dental, and his mild heart murmur has been stable with no symptoms. Most of all, he’s sweet, spunky, and full of love. ❤️ Scotchy’s ready to spend his golden years with a family who will cherish him. 🌟 Apply to adopt: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUVR/dog

Story
Louie is a 3 year old, 14 pound Dachshund mix that was in a hoarding situation with 30 other dogs. A rescue came and took 15 dogs, leaving the others there, so animal came and confiscated the others. It has taken Louie a while to feel safe and comfortable and now he will not leave his foster mom's side. He would be happiest to be in his foster mom's lap 24/7. He has gotten along wonderfully with all of the dogs, the litter of pups, and the chickens in his foster home. Louie has been neutered, vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and is heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $200. Applications to adopt are at kathisk9s.org Meet greets are scheduled only for approved applicants

Story
EXERCISE NEEDS: Weekend Athlete EASE OF TRAINING: Eager FRIENDLINESS WITH PEOPLE: Loves Everyone PLAYFULNESS: Amateur FRIENDLINESS WITH DOGS: Social LEASH MANNERS: Almost Never Pulls Meet Waldorf: The Bouncy Balcony Buddy! No show is complete without Waldorf! This 6-year-old Beagle/Dachshund mix is the "happier half" of our resident Muppet duo. Unlike his grumpy counterpart, Waldorf is a social butterfly who loves every human and hound he meets. He has a unique, "bouncy" way of walking—likely due to some previous back injury (IVDD)—but he doesn’t let that slow his roll or dampen his enthusiasm for life! In fact, his signature strut just makes him even more endearing as he trots over to greet you. Waldorf is a simple guy with two main passions: tennis balls and snuggles. He’ll happily chase a ball with his joyful, hopping gait and then spend the rest of the afternoon showering you with kisses. He is a world-class cuddler who just wants to be part of the action. If you’re looking for a resilient, cheerful companion with a lot of character and an even bigger heart, Waldorf is ready to heckle the world by your side. Come meet him and get ready for a standing ovation of tail wags! Waldorf is heartworm positive, but don't let that break your heart! We have a treatment plan ready to go and we are covering 100% of the costs at our facility. You bring the belly rubs, and we’ll handle the rest.
