My name is Sakura. I am an 18 month old, little Doxie - Terrier mix. I love, love my toys, especially the squeaky ones and I am really great with my doggy friends. Story

Raffi was living a lonely life on the streets and was so scared when he was rescued by Hope For Paws Rescue. They chased him for quite some time before they were finally able to catch him. We teamed up with Hope For Paws to help find Raffi his forever home. Raffi is shy with people he does not know but warms up once he gets to know you and feels safe. It does take him time to come out of his shell so he will need someone who is patient. He has limited hearing but he can hear louder sounds. He will need an experienced owner as he needs guidance and someone to build his confidence. Raffi loves other dogs and he will need a home with another confident dog that he can watch and learn from. He is good with cats too. He will need a calm household where he is not left for long hours and no young children but calm older children are okay. Raffi loves to go on walks and rides well in the car. Raffi is about 8-9 years old and weighs 9 pounds. In September 2021, Raffi was diagnosed with a mild heart murmur caused by early stage mitral valve disease. He was seen by a cardiologist in late September 2021 and again in for a recheck in June 2022 where he got an echocardiogram. He does not need any medication or treatment at this time but will need annual check-ups with a cardiologist to monitor his heart. Raffi is also fully vetted: neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, flea/heartworm treated. And Raffi just had a full vet exam, senior blood panel with thyroid test, urinalysis, heartworm test, fecal test, dental cleaning, mouth x-rays and chest x-rays in September 2022 so he should not need any vetting at this time. If you are serious about adopting Raffi and have a vet near you willing to work with our rescue, we will cover his vetting and cardiology. Or you can take him to our vet in the Los Angeles area for his vetting and cardiology needs.

*COURTESY POST* (TRIO will be at our adoption event on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Petco Crossroads, Crenshaw and Lomita Blvd, from 1200 to 300 pm. Come on down and meet this awesome little guy!) Meet Trio! Trio is a sweet boy, 4 years old, weighing about 11 lbs. Trio is a dachshund and chihuahua mix. At one time in Trio's life, he was attacked by a big dog and had to have his right rear leg amputated but that hasn't slowed him down one bit. He runs circles at high speed in the yard playing with the other foster dogs at his foster home. He does get along with other dogs. He loves walks and going for rides in the car. Hammer is an absolute gem with the most delightful personality! She is a survivor of parvo and although she gave us a few scares, she managed to pull through and is now a happy, healthy girl. This sweet pup will eat just about anything you put in front of her - she's not picky at all! Hammer gets along great with people, dogs, and kids. While we haven't tested her with cats yet, we can do so upon request.Hammer is a total love bug who adores cuddling up with her favorite humans. She's a smart girl who has been with us since birth and is now a year old old. Her mom, a Bull Terrier, came to us pregnant, but we're unsure of who her dad is. Hammer is eagerly waiting to find her forever home.She can be a bit territorial over her food and toys, but it's nothing to worry too much about - just a minor quirk. Hammer loves to play with other dogs and while she's not the most gentle, she's also not too rough - she's just right in the middle! She enjoys playing with all kinds of toys, whether they're hard, bone-like, or stuffed.Overall, Hammer is an incredible puppy who will grow to be the perfect medium size - not too big, not too small!
