Nicholas (Nikki) is a beautiful all red Dachshund Mix. He is 8 months old and has beautiful green eyes. He loves people and gets along well with other dogs. He is good with children too. Nikki loves to play and he loves to snuggle and is always willing to settle down with his foster mom for a movie or a good book read. He likes toys to play with and bones to chew. Nikki loves to sun bathe and enjoys running around the yard with his foster friends. He will be a great companion dog and a good friend for another dog in his new home. He is leash trained and is housetrained. Nikki’s home should have a work from home person. Nikki has been neutered, microchipped and is vaccinated. This blue-eyed beauty will steal your heart? Meet Kayla! She is a 1-year-old, 12 pound, blue-eyed, white and tan, Dachshund/Chihuahua/ Jack Russell terrier mix?? Kipper is an absolute sweetheart! With his charming mix of Dachshund and Jack Russell terrier traits, plus his stunning eyes, (one blue and one brown) it’s hard not to fall for him. It’s wonderful that he’s playful and enjoys treats, especially carrots—those are great ways to bond and train him. It’s great to hear he’s already leash trained and just needs a bit more of a routine for house training. He does use a doggie door. Since he has a special bond with his sister Kayla, it would be worth considering a home that can accommodate both, especially since they enjoy each other's company. Kipper seems like he’d bring so much joy and love to a household that can provide him with affection, structure, and playtime. If anyone is looking for a loving companion who is ready to learn and play that is Kipper. He is playful with other dogs but he loves to be in charge! Though he is great with his sister. This sweet, short-legged pup is named Kristy. She currently weighs 25 pounds and is estimated to be between 1 and 2 years old based on the condition of her teeth. We can't be sure of much information about her since she was a stray and we were not able to find who owned her last. She definitely has some Dachshund in her but who knows what breed gave her those striking eyes! She is very cuddly with the staff and it's clear she wants to be around and be loved by people. We have to put JJ up for adoption because his owner has dementia and is not able to care for him properly (feed, potty, bath, etc). He is incredibly loving and great with children. He will lick you and sit on your lap all day. Unfortunately we cannot care for him at this time. We just ask he finds a loving home.
