Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Harper, a Dachshund mixHarper is the fun puppy. He is now four months old, loves all his housemates and plays well with others. He is also really close to being completely potty trained! Although your heart might melt, remember to consult with your brain too before you decide to adopt a puppy. While they are adorable and a lot of fun, puppies are a lot of work and will turn into adults (after going through their teenage years)! We want our adopters to be ready to commit for the life of the dog. Schedule is everything! Do you have the schedule for housetraining and socializing a puppy: You will need to be able to take the puppy out for potty breaks every 3 hours. If you work a full day, a mid-day walk is not enough. In addition, you will need lots of time to spend with your pup playing and socializing.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 11, 2024, 4:06 pm

Story
3-year-old Peewee is the sweetest little fellow! At not quite 10 pounds, we think he's a black (with a bit of white chest) long-haired Dachshund mix!A newcomer, Peewee is a little unsure about going for walks in a new place and of new people, but he warms up quickly once he knows you're a friend and is happy to trot alongside a friendly small dog sheltermate like Delilah.Peewee is OK with being carried and enjoys sitting and being pet while in your lap. From there he seems to feel safe to observe the world.A patient boy, Peewee is very tolerant of high-energy small dogs like little rambunctious Delilah. Peewee, on the other hand, is more calm and low to medium energy. Out and about, he makes cute little whimpering sounds when he sees a 4-legged friend he wants to meet, but otherwise fairly quiet. With love and time (and maybe even a fellow furry friend), Peewee is sure to blossom into a more confident dog. ✨Peewee's $300 adoption fee helps cover his neuter, up-to-date vaccinations, and microchip.Interested in meeting this sweet boy? Submit an adoption interest application today for a meet-and-greet!https://www.hsnb.org/dog-adoption-applicationPlease be sure to submit the adoption interest application directly at our HSNB website! If you do not receive a confirmation email, contact adoptions@hsnb.org .See you soon! 💕 Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 9.8 Age: 3yrs 5mths 1wks

Story
Meet Linguica! She's been enjoying life in her active foster home, here's what they have to say about her: She is very sweet and well behaved in the home. She loves her people and wants to be by my side all the time. She's house-trained and knows basic commands. She is a quick learner and is easily redirected if you do not want her on furniture etc. I can definitely see the dachshund in her! She loves to sniff, track scents, and burrow. She also can be stubborn and is very playful! She's an active girl who really enjoys her walks. We’ve been walking about 6 miles a day which she LOVES but can become bored in the home. She would really benefit from a home who have plans for continued training, puzzle toys and regular games and interactions, and potentially kids or a dog to play with. Apply today to meet Linguica, she's waiting for you!
