Story
Blacky is part of a bonded pair. She came to live with us when my mom went into a memory care facility. She is a 10 year old Dauchaund Mix and has been a faithful companion to my mom for 10 years. Blacky is friendly, loves going on walks and greeting other dogs, and gives the best "welcome home" wiggle you will ever experience. She loves belly rubs and being told how cute she is. We hope to find Blacky and her bonded buddy, Precious, a home where she is appreciated for her faithfulness, constant companionship, and sweet demeanor.

Story
Meet Mama Nelly! Say hello to Nelly, a darling 2-3yr old 14lb Dachshund-Chihuahua mix who’s as sweet as she is adorable! This beautiful, long, low, black-coated girl came to us from Fresno after a kind family rescued her as a stray. They had no idea she was pregnant, and just days later, she surprised them with six gorgeous puppies! Nelly was a fantastic mama, and now that her puppies are ready for homes of their own, it’s her turn to find her happily ever after. Nelly is a true sweetheart—dog-friendly (both big and small), kid-friendly, and an absolute cuddle bug. While she enjoys playful moments, she’s happiest as a lap companion, soaking up all the love and affection she can get. She loves sunbathing, rolling in the grass, car rides, and, of course, snuggling up with her people. Nelly is house-trained, food-motivated, and eager to please. She’s ready for a family or person to call her very own—a home where she can finally relax and enjoy being pampered. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a heart of gold, Mama Nelly is ready to fill your life with love and joy! Could you be her perfect match? Story
Meet Millie Meet Millie! Millie is an adorable 1-year-old, 7-pound Dachshund with the perfect “long and low” look, complete with extra-long, floppy ears that add to her charm. She’s a quirky, funny little girl who’s sure to steal your heart with her sweet, soulful eyes and unique personality. Millie came to us from a tough situation in the Central Valley, but she’s now safe and slowly learning to trust the world around her. While she’s still decompressing, we know she’ll make a full recovery with time, patience, and love. With the people she trusts, Millie is incredibly affectionate, snuggly, and eager to connect. She’s looking for a patient, understanding home that will give her the space and support she needs to blossom. Millie is smart, eager to please, and gaining confidence every day. With continued encouragement, she’s going to thrive and become an amazing companion. Millie currently lives with over a dozen dogs of all sizes and gets along wonderfully with them. She’s also cat-friendly and would do well with older, respectful children. While she’s still working on house and crate training, she’s making great progress and just needs someone committed to helping her along the way. Her ideal home would have a yard for her to explore and another friendly dog to be her buddy and role model. Millie is fully grown and ready to find her forever family—a family who will cherish her, celebrate her progress, and give her the loving home she’s always deserved. If you’re ready to open your heart to a sweet, resilient girl who will reward you with endless love, Millie is waiting to meet you! Story
Meet Potato Meet Potato! Potato is an adorable 5-month-old Dachshund mix with the cutest little face and a heart full of love just waiting to be shared. He came to us from the Central Valley after being found in rough shape—underweight and starving, he was brought into a human homeless shelter, desperately in need of help. Thankfully, those tough days are behind him, and now he’s thriving in the Bay Area, ready to find his forever family. Potato currently weighs 6 pounds and will likely max out around 12 pounds full-grown. He has a stunning copper-colored coat, a long, low build typical of a Dachshund, and an irresistibly wiggly personality. Despite his rough start, he’s a happy little pup learning to trust people and experience the joys of being a dog. Once he feels safe and loved, Potato is incredibly affectionate and cuddly—he’ll happily snuggle up with his favorite humans. Potato is dog- and cat-friendly, and he’d do great in a home with respectful children. He’s still learning the ropes of house and crate training but is eager to please and making progress every day. Because he’s still discovering how to “dog,” he’d thrive in a home with another confident pup to show him the ropes. If that’s not possible, his ideal family will be committed to providing plenty of training, socialization, and exercise to help him continue growing into the best version of himself. Potato’s sweet, resilient spirit is ready to blossom in the right home. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion who’ll melt your heart with snuggles and tail wags, Potato is waiting to meet you!
