She was defintely in a home at some point. Her finder realized she was pregnant after a few weeks and she was transferred to our rescue. One week later, in the quiet of the night, Roxy delivered her 5 puppies all by herself. Niner, Raider, Commander, Charger, and Lion will be ready for adoption in early December. Roxy will be available at the end of November after she weans her crew. Heidi loves to run around, but especially loves being close to you and cuddle. Very affectionate and loving. Good with kids. Most of the time, Heidi is a very calm well-tempered dog. Adapts well to different environments. Heidi is one of my mom's dogs and unfortunately we had to make the extremely tough decision to give her up. My mother has Alzheimer's and has rapidly progressed within the past year. She's now at assisted living, and in a short time Memory Care. This has been a tough decision for all of the family, we have tried every effort to keep both of her dogs with her at the assisted living facility. It has gotten too difficult for my mom to properly take care of her dogs, and is very resistant in having the care staff help her with them.
