While we don’t know what her early days looked like, we do know this: from the very first moment she entered foster care, Maisy has been an absolute joy. She has a unique, curly coat that makes her stand out in a crowd, but it’s her incredibly sweet, affectionate nature that truly steals hearts.   Maisy has settled beautifully into a consistent puppy routine and thrives with structure. Her day typically starts around 6:00 a.m. with a potty break, followed by breakfast between 6:30 and 7:00. Afterward, she enjoys about an hour of playful fun— either entertaining herself with toys or engaging with her people— before happily napping in her crate from around 8:30 to 11:30. She wakes up for a midday potty break and lunch around noon, enjoys another hour of play, and then naps again until late afternoon. Evenings are a lovely mix of potty breaks, playtime, dinner around 7:00, and plenty of snuggles. She goes to bed around 9:30 p.m. and sleeps through the night in her crate. All of her naps are in the crate, except for her evening nap, which she prefers to spend cuddled up on the couch with her people.   Personality-wise, Maisy is pure sweetness. She adores people and forms bonds quickly. From day one, her foster family fell head over heels for her gentle, loving nature, and that affection has only grown as she’s become more comfortable. She is a total cuddler and a dedicated snuggler. If you sit on the floor, she will immediately plop herself into your lap and request belly rubs. She always finds a way to be touching you— nestling her side against you if you’re sitting, or attempting to drape her long little body across your feet if you’re standing. She has a wonderfully endearing need to stay connected to her people.   Maisy lives with two older dogs (one small and one medium-sized). While she will occasionally try to initiate play, she’s far more interested in toys and humans than in canine companionship. She hasn’t met children yet but has interacted with many adults and loves them all. When she gets excited, she may piddle a bit, which is very typical puppy behavior and something she will continue to outgrow with time and confidence.   She is playful and energetic in classic puppy bursts— about an hour of active play at a time— then she’s perfectly content to curl up beside you and drift off to sleep. Because she’s still young, she hasn’t started leash walks yet.   Housetraining is going exceptionally well for such a young puppy. Accidents have been rare. She understands “go potty,” pees about once an hour, and has very predictable poops after meals (plus an extra one around 4:00 p.m.). She is familiar with pee pads, though they’re rarely needed. Maisy is crate-trained for naps and nighttime and sleeps through the night. While she may cry briefly when first left alone in her crate, she has made tremendous progress and does much better in a crate than in an exercise pen. Continuing her crate routine will set her up for long-term success.   Behavior-wise, Maisy is an easy puppy. She doesn’t bark, doesn’t dig, and only chews on appropriate items like toys—though fuzzy blankets that resemble toys can sometimes be tempting. She is teething, as expected for her age.   Maisy would do well in just about any loving home that is dedicated to puppy training. She truly loves her people and would be happy as part of a multi-dog household or as someone’s one-and-only. What really sets her apart is her deep affection and desire for closeness… and her enthusiasm for giving kisses. Fair warning: Maisy is known to enthusiastically French kiss her favorite humans.   One of her foster family’s favorite memories is from her very first day home, when she tried to fit her entire long body— plus a toy— onto her foster dad’s feet. When that proved impossible, she simply settled for sitting on his feet instead, perfectly content.   Maisy is a special little puppy with a huge heart, and she’s ready to bring a lifetime of love, snuggles, and sweetness to her forever home.January 12, 2026, 3:09 pm

He came to us from a loud, overwhelming shelter, but now that he’s in a cozy home with soft beds, warm blankets, and a human who adores him, he’s finally learning what it means to feel safe and loved. We’re still getting to know this sweet little guy, but here’s what we can say for sure: Taco loves food, snuggles, and burrowing into blankets—quite possibly in that order! He enjoys going for walks, riding in the car, and soaking up all the affection he can get. Taco will soon be ready to find his forever family. If you’re looking for a loyal, cuddly companion with an irresistible spirit, Taco might just be the perfect match. Could he be the one for you?  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 30, 2025, 5:04 pm
