Story
Finnegan is an approximately 9-year-old, 30-pound bundle of love with a DNA mix of Dachshund, Chihuahua, and Poodle—though we think he’s 100% adorable! This charming boy is looking for a special someone to share his life with. Finnegan recently had cataract surgery and he’ll need daily eye drops for life.  He also gets a once a month injection for Addison’s disease, which is caused by a deficiency in steroid hormones. But don’t worry, he’s a champ with his care routine and can live a normal life. Finnegan is incredibly affectionate and thrives on companionship. He loves people and enjoys being near you, though he takes a little longer to warm up to men. He’s a devoted little buddy who will follow you around and make every day brighter just by being by your side. He’s not suited for apartment living and may bark when left alone, so he’d do best in a quiet, single-family home with someone who works from home or is around most of the time. Finnegan can get overwhelmed on busy walks, especially with lots of people and noise, so he needs a calm, confident leader who can help him feel safe and avoid stressful situations. To help with this transition, we’ll provide professional training support upon adoption. Finnegan gets along well with other small, calm dogs and can even live peacefully with cats. He’s ready to find a home where he can relax, feel secure, and shower his person with unconditional love. Could you be the one to give Finnegan the forever home he’s been waiting for? If you are interested in meeting Finnegan please complete the adoption application on our website, www.greatpets.org. Once your application is received and reviewed you will be contacted to discuss if Finnigan would be a good fit for you. Finnegan's $250 adoption donation includes his vet exam, vaccinations, blood work, cataract surgery, microchip and fecal exam.March 7, 2026, 10:06 pm

Meet Cole a sweet, curious little pup whos learning to feel safe and let his personality shine. Cole came into rescue with his brother Dylan after being found as a stray and overwhelmed in the shelter environment. Since arriving in foster care, hes been slowly gaining confidence and showing his gentle, thoughtful nature. Estimated to be just under 2 years old and about 10 lbs, this spanieldachshund mix is fully housebroken and food motivated. Cole is adventurous, enjoying his space but coming in for cuddles when hes ready. He is still shy and will need a calm, patient home wit (older children might be ok, but no young kids) who can give him time to build trust. With love and consistency, Cole is sure to blossom into a loyal and loving companion. Story
Meet Timmy! Don't let his size fool you this little guy has energy for days! Timmy is the perfect combination of cuddle bug and adventure buddy. When you're on the couch, he's on your lap. When you're on your feet, he's ready to run, chase, and play until his heart's content. Toy time? He's obsessed. A ball to chase? He's already gone. Timmy will thrive with an active person or family who can match his enthusiasm and help him burn off that glorious puppy energy every day. He's crate-trained and making great progress on house-training, currently pee pad trained. As for furry housemates, Timmy is generally fine with other dogs just give him a proper introduction and a little time to warm up and he should be good. He can also coexist with cats, though a larger, confident cat would be his ideal match. Timmy prefers older kids (13+) and loves men! Timmy is affectionate, loving, and so much fun. He just needs the right person to call his own. Could that be you? Fill out an application today and give Timmy his forever home! Story
**Courtesy Post** Meet Vegas! He’s a sweet boy that’s learning how to trust people. Doesn’t seem like he had a good life in the past, but he’s with us now and he’s starting to show his love. He’s good with other dogs he prefers his size. He’s approximately 20 pounds and 6 years old. He is vaccinated, neutered, and ready for adoption. We are not looking to place in a home with young kids. He would do best with older kids that can read when he gets nervous and doesn’t want to be picked up. The longer he's with us the more we realize how affectionate & fun he is. If you would like to have a dog that will love you unconditionally once you’ve earned his trust, please fill out the application: https://www.muttsinneed.org/adoption-application.html
