Story
Marimar is a beautiful shy but playful girl who I had the chance to foster her since I found her being given away in SoCal when I was traveling. She is about to be 2 years old this month and is looking forward to it. I am looking for a home that is willing to be patient and kind to her. She needs to go on her own pace and that means giving her the time to acclimate to her new environment and new people. I would describe Mari as a little shy and timid with new people but is very loyal to those she is comfortable with. She is a very light player, she knows how to play rough and will correct dogs who play too rough with her but she prefers to play with others in a softer way. Mari adores cuddles and hugs, especially if she is held like a baby. Marimar seems to have PTSD from the owner and may yelp if she is suddenly moved, grabbed, or harsh movements are made near her. Her trigger has lessened over time since I first had her in my care. However, this is something that must be considered.

Good with dogs,
Story
We found these dogs a couple weeks ago in Campbell, Ca. We put up posters, posted on multiple websites, and took them to see if they were microchipped but no luck. When we first found them they were a bit timid but once they warmed up, they're running through the house like they own it. We don't think they are house trained. We are currently working on potty training, leash walking and "here" but they seem to be fast learners. We have noticed that they do chew on things. We taught them how to use the doggy door and they come in and out as they please. We have noticed that they will be rambunctious for a couple hours until they want to cuddle up and nap with someone. They get along great with our 3 big dogs and with everyone they have met. They will need a well fenced in backyard or they will escape. We want to find a home that will take both of them as they are attached at the hip.

Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $250 Thank you to Sydney K. for her generous donation towards our Sticky Dogs to help find them homes.  Spring is an option for Foster To Adopt. Spring is a 9 year old Dachshund-Pit mix who can’t wait to blossom with her forever family! Spring came to our rescue with her litter of 2 week old babies after she was abandoned at the shelter, which is no place for a sweet little family. Now that her babies are all grown up and she has had some Mama relaxation time, she is ready to find a home to live out her golden years in! Spring weighs 27 pounds and is a low-rider! Are you a Pitbull lover but the size of a typical Pitty doesn't fit your life? Well, we have your answer here. This girl is all that but in a compact size!   Below is a note from Spring’s foster.  “Spring is a fabulously cuddly and loving gal who can’t wait to meet her new BFF! When you first meet her, she can take a little bit to warm up but once she does, she is ready for non-stop snuggles. She would love to find a home where she can spend her days loving her people, being the best zoom companion ever! Spring is more of a couch potato kind of dog, but she does love her daily romps around the neighborhood. Spring is fully potty trained both with potty pads and outside. Spring adores the softer things in life, from blankets to toys and dotes on her Lamb Chop. Spring would be a perfect hike companion or a “snuggle and movie” friend.  Spring starts her morning with a potty break and breakfast at around 7 AM. During the day, she hangs out in a playpen with her bed and toys. She spends her time mostly snoozing and soaking up the sunshine. After I finish work for the day, we go on a walk to the park where she sniffs and gets her zoomies out. After her walk, she comes home for dinner and snuggles as I unwind from the day. She ends her day curled up on her soft dog bed as she dreams of adventures ahead!  Spring would do best in a home where she can be the only dog, or with a low-key doggy companion. She loves walks and trots alongside me as we wander the neighborhood. Spring gets along with all people, but prefers a slow introduction involving LOTS of treats! Spring is such a lovely girl with beautiful, soulful eyes who deserves the absolute best forever home.” Spring would be best suited for a home with prior dog experience, but she could be a first-time dog. Spring would do best as a solo dog. Kids in the home should be over the age of 10.January 10, 2025, 10:20 pm

Story
Blacky is part of a bonded pair. She came to live with us when my mom went into a memory care facility. She is a 10 year old Dauchaund Mix and has been a faithful companion to my mom for 10 years. Blacky is friendly, loves going on walks and greeting other dogs, and gives the best "welcome home" wiggle you will ever experience. She loves belly rubs and being told how cute she is. We hope to find Blacky and her bonded buddy, Precious, a home where she is appreciated for her faithfulness, constant companionship, and sweet demeanor.

Story
Meet Rae! This sweet, shy dachshund mix is still figuring out the world around her, so she may need a little extra time to warm up to new people and places. Rae was transported out of LA to create room for pets being displaced by the wildfires. She is a gentle soul, and though she's a bit cautious at first, she quickly begins to show her loving side once she feels comfortable and safe. She's looking for a patient, understanding home where she can continue to grow at her own pace. She'll need someone who can provide a calm environment and gentle guidance as she learns to trust and explore. Once she feels secure, you'll see her true, sweet nature shine. Story
Looks like: Dachshund, Chihuahua mix Male, 13 years old (estimated), 13 pounds Pepi is a happy, mostly confident little guy who's very favorite pastime is napping, closely followed by frolics in the yard or at the park, interspersed with plenty of pets and hind-quarter scratches. Although this little dude is vision and hearing-impaired, he walks well on leash, taking it slow and easy. He's also a pro at stairs and doesn't need to be carried up or down! He gets along well with other dogs that he meets at the park, mainly by ignoring them after the initial sniff test. He also lives with another pup who he loves to nap next to. When meeting new people, including children, he can be a little shy at first, but is always sweet and friendly. We don't know yet how he behaves around cats. At his foster home, he does not mind being home alone, but he also loves being out and about, eagerly hopping into the car, politely sharing the back seat with fellow canines as they all know it is time to head to the park. When Pepi wants attention, he will politely raise his paw for you to see. How cute is that?! Pepi is hoping to find a quiet, loving household either with or without another dog. Due to his vision impairment, he can be cautious in new places and needs to be carried up and down flights of stairs. His ideal human would be a shuttle driver to the park, timely server of breakfast and dinner, massage therapist for cuddles and attention, room service personnel for fluffing up his cozy bed, and a generous treat dispenser. This sweet senior lad came to us from a shelter in Sacramento where he was on the red list for euthanasia.
