Meet Toby – The Tiny but Mighty Survivor with a Heart Full of Love Toby is a 6-month-old, 10-pound Dorkie (a Dachshund Yorkshire Terrier puppy) who has already lived through more than most dogs his age. He was born at a backyard breeder and confiscated by animal control along with the rest of the puppies being sold for thousands of dollars. From there, he landed in a high-kill shelter. Because of his young age and small size, he was immediately placed on the euthanasia list and scheduled to be put to sleep at 4:00 PM. But fate had other plans for this little guy. Our rescue team happened to be at the shelter that very afternoon. We watched as staff gently carried Toby back for what was supposed to be his final “pup cup” treat. The moment we saw him — this tiny, fluffy, long-haired cutie with big, trusting eyes — we knew we couldn’t let it happen. We stepped in right then and pulled him from the shelter just hours before his scheduled time. Today, Toby is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and bursting with love. He’s playful, cuddly, and incredibly sweet — the kind of puppy who melts into your lap and gives you those big Dachshund eyes that make your heart skip a beat. Despite everything he’s been through, he trusts people completely and is ready to shower his forever family with endless affection. Toby is looking for a loving home where he can finally feel safe, spoiled, and cherished. He’s great with kids and adults alike and would love nothing more than to be someone’s little shadow — following you from room to room, snuggling on the couch, and living his very best puppy life. Jack was adopted as a puppy from the rescue. Jack was doing great until his family grew by a couple of children. Jack does not like the commotion and started acting out. Jack gets along with other dogs, but since being an only dog his whole life, he does prefer to be an only child. Jack is looking for a quiet home, where he can be treated like a prince. He loves attention. Jack is fine when you are away, he just takes a nap and waits for you to return. Jack is looking for a family to love him forever! Jack's adoption fee: $100We do not have a kennel or facility to visit, all dogs are kept in foster homes until their forever homes are found.Adoption Process: Once an approved application is on file, we will then set up a home visit.
