You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello everyone, meet sweet lovable Holly.  I have to tell you this precious girl is the sweetest kindest and gentlest doggie ever. She is very friendly with people, older considerate children, affectionate and oh so playful.  She loves to go on walks and play with her doggie friends weather big or small. My foster said, 'she gave our senior Lab Axle his youthfulness again', 'he's so happy playing with her all day long', 'she adors my husband always cuddling up with him' 'I've never had such an easy foster'. Sweet Holly doesn't even mind cats and will cozy right up with them if they will have her. Holly deserves a 2nd chance at life!! She came from nowhere and has never had a family that cared about her until she came into our rescue. Now its time for her to have her forever family and maybe another dog she could bond and play with. That would surely be a blessing. Holly, is fully vaccinated spayed and microchipped.  If you live in San Diego County or surrounding areas have a home with a yard and a secured fence and would love to adopt Holly, then please complete our adoption application at tlck9rescue.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 7, 2024, 3:29 pm

Story
Meet Luther! 🐾 Luther is a 3-year-old, 24-pound Dachshund mix with a gentle spirit and a love for canine companionship. While he may be shy at first, he truly shines when there’s another dog around to guide him. For this reason, Luther must go to a home with another playful dog who can help him feel confident and secure. In playgroups and adoption events, Luther has shown great progress, becoming more friendly and learning to enjoy playtime with others. New surroundings, people, and dogs can make him a bit nervous at first, but with patience, time, and understanding, he warms up beautifully as he grows comfortable with his environment. Luther is crate-trained, though he may need some extra encouragement (and treats!) to adjust to a new space. He would thrive with continued positive reinforcement training to help him perfect his manners and build confidence. Playtime is one of Luther’s favorite things, and he would love to keep you entertained with his antics! Despite his playful energy, he also appreciates a calm and structured routine to help him feel secure. Luther was found as a stray alongside another dog, and it seems he followed their lead as they wandered together. His history remains a mystery, but his future is bright, and he’s ready to find a loving home with another dog who can help him flourish. Think Luther might be the perfect addition to your family? Click the Adoption Application button below the bio on the rescue website and one of our adoption counselors will be in touch! Here is the link - https://www.smallbreedrescue.org/Home/AnimalDetails/13546 Please Note: Due to home introductions as part of the adoption process, we can only accept applications from individuals in or near San Diego County, California at this time.

Story
*This is a courtesy listing.* Meet Wilton! Wilton was adopted from the San Diego Humane Society in October 2024 by a first-time dog owner who has made the difficult decision to rehome him. They hope to find a loving family better suited to meet Wilton's needs. While he is a loving companion, Wilton has some reactivity issues that require an experienced owner who can dedicate the time and resources to help him blossom into a more confident, well-balanced pup. About Wilton: Wilton is a sweet and affectionate dog who is crate-trained, house-trained, and knows basic commands. He is neutered and current on vaccinations. He is very affectionate and loving to his person, and he does great just chilling in the house, whether they are at home or away. Wilton enjoys playing with toys for short periods, especially in the morning. Wilton's challenges: Wilton needs a patient who has experience with fearful dogs that have resource guarding tendencies. He is fearful towards people other than his current guardian, and that has resulted in minor biting incidents (skin not broken) in the home he has been in since October. He does not show this aggression towards his current guardian, and they can take away food or toys with no issue. Wilton is also fearful of other dogs, both in his home and those he encounters outdoors. If he sees dogs while on walks, he will whimper and bark. What Wilton needs: Wilton is a dog so eager to love and be loved. He is deserving of a home where he can feel safe, secure, and loved. With the right training and a dedicated family, Wilton has the potential to be an amazing companion. If you're an experienced dog owner ready to take on the rewarding challenge of helping Winton become a more confident, well-balanced dog, please text or call Marci at (619)929-0802. *Frosted Faces Foundation has not assessed this dog medically or behaviorally.*
