ATTENTION:  All of our dogs are in private foster homes.  We do NOT have a kennel with multiple dogs.  If you find a dog you want to meet in person, please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application.    We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. // // Introducing Brioche!  This sweet little nugget cannot wait to meet her forever family.  Born in early June of 2024, this tiny dachshund/chihuahua mix is just over 5 lbs. of love and joy.  She is a playful puppy who loves to snuggle and keeps herself warm under covers, on your lap, or nestled up with other dogs in the home. She warms up to new people immediately. While she is still growing, she will always be a small pup who happily joins adventures out and about. She doesn’t require long walks but does enjoy being out in the sunshine. She does well with children if they are mindful of how small she is and can be careful with her. Brioche is a puppy and is working on potty training and consistently uses potty pads inside while learning. She sleeps through the night but needs to go out immediately when she wakes up    Overall, she could do great in a lot of different home environments as long as she has a lap to sit on and someone to snuggle with. Her adoption fee is $350.  A refundable training deposit of $100 will be also due upon adoption. Training must be provided in a timely fashion to ensure our pups become the best canine citizens. The training deposit will be refundable within 3 months of the adoption date. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption.   Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs,   vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Please go to  www.secondchancedogrescue.org  and complete an application today!    All dogs live in private foster homes until they are adopted.  November 4, 2024, 10:09 am

Story
Ringo and his brother 6 months as of april 2023, Rango, were abandoned as puppies at a workshop. The workers there would feed them, but no one actually did anything else for them. They would ramble out on the street and people would abuse these poor animals, even hitting them. One day one of them was kicked leaving him severely injured. Jessica* came to rescue them, bringing along Don Nacho.** They took Ringo and Rango to the vet, where they were treated for their injuries. They also had distemper, but they have been treated and are now 100% healthy. They were neutered and fully vaccinated. Although their Foster parent would love for them to be adopted together, they are available to be adopted separately. They now wait for their forever home.
We'll also keep you updated on Rango's adoption status with email updates.

Story
Meet Rango and Ringo!! A pair of brothers who are around 6 years, neutered, fully vaccinated and mixed with dachshund! Win!!! Win!!! They are bright, playful and spunky!! Dachshunds are known for their lively personalities, and mixed breeds often bring a unique blend of traits to the table. These brothers have overcome adversity, abuse and the challenges of street life AND found their way to safety and care with FSHTJ in August 2022. **Rescued dogs often have incredible resilience, remarkable spirit and can flourish with the love and support of a caring family. These two are truly deserving of a happy and secure forever home where they can thrive and continue to bring joy to those around them with their playful and fun nature!

This adorable little baja mutt has such a great personality! She is a young adult who is under 20 pounds and her body resembles that of a doxy so we think she is a chiwennie mix. She was rescued off the streets of Baja along with her 7 young pups. They all had mange and as soon as their treatment was done the pups have found homes and now all that is left of this adorable low rider family is mama Frankie. She is an absolute sweetheart. A greatful beautiful soul who is loving, nobel and just a great companion who will bring you smiles.  We believe this girl was likely chained up or used to chewing on wire/metal as her incisor teeth both upper and lower are fairly worn down. She is crate and house trained and is great with dogs, cats and children. Perfect for first time dog owners and we would love to find a foster or adopter for her. She is currently staying at casa de arwob along with other foster dogs and cats.  To meet this cutie please submit an application online at ARWOB.org to schedule a meet and greet TODAY!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you would like to meet one of our animals, PLEASE fill out an adoption application.
