Sal has been happy in his adopted home for 2 years , he's potty trained and walks on a leash, but unfortunately he has gotten in a jealous feud with one of the male dogs there. He can be great as an only dog or maybe with another female with an intro.

Story
Sadie is a 5-year-old mixed breed with a heart full of potential. She didn't get much socialization as a puppy, so meeting new people can feel overwhelming at first. She’ll need patience and a few visits to truly feel safe, but once she trusts you, her sweet and affectionate side shines through. Sadie’s sister, Charlie, has already found her forever home, so now it’s her turn. She’s selective with other dogs, so if you already have a canine companion, introductions will be important to make sure everyone gets along. Sadie would do best in a calm home with teens and adults who understand her need for space as she settles in. She loves treats (they’re her favorite!) and is learning how fun toys can be. With time, kindness, and consistency, Sadie will reward you with loyalty and love. Adoption Requirements: Behavior consult, children 13+ Her adoption fee is $350 and includes the following: -Spay/neuter surgery -All current vaccinations -Microchip -FREE wellness exam through VCA Animal Hospitals -$25 gift voucher from our friends at My Pet Market

Story
Meet Herbie!Age: 4.5 yearsWeight: 18 lbsBreed: Dachshund/mixed breedHerbie is a calm, friendly gentleman who’s looking for his forever home. He’s house-trained, knows basic commands like sit, and has lived happily with an older child. PersonalityGentle and easygoing — a true companion pup.Loves the company of other dogs, though he prefers his own food bowl.Favorite pastime: playing with stuffed toys.Enjoys snuggling in bed with his humans.Travel NoteHerbie thinks “driver assist” means he should help with the steering wheel! He’ll need to be safely restrained when riding in the car.Ideal FamilyHerbie will thrive in a loving home that appreciates his calm nature, playful spirit, and cuddly side, but would prefer no feline friends in the home. If you’re looking for a loyal friend who’s as happy playing as he is snuggling, Herbie is the perfect match! To get started in the process of meeting Herbie, visit https://azfriends.org/testing/adopt.html to complete an adoption consultation form, and then come by the Adoption Center to meet with one of our adoption counselors. No appointments are necessary and you can come and see us any time we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form – this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the dog. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)! Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).
