🐾 Bourbon Needs His Forever Home! 🐾 Meet Bourbon, the sweet and snuggly pup who's stealing hearts left and right! 💖 This adorable 2-year-old Dachshund mix recently joined the rescue, and he’s already settling in so well with his foster family. Bourbon is a total lovebug who thrives when he has company—he’s not a fan of being in his crate alone, but he’s making great progress with kennel and leash training. He’s smart and eager to learn! 🎓🐾 He’s been great with kids in his foster home, but he prefers a calm approach, so kids who respect his boundaries would be ideal. Bourbon is crate trained during the day, but not at night, he does walk well on a leash. We don’t have a doggie door, he likes to cuddle and is really into attention. He just wants to be loved and give love. I’m in a house so I don’t know if he would be good as an apartment dog. I think he would be fine because he lets you know when he has to go outside, which is about three times a day. He would be great for somebody who hikes, since he loves water. He is very playful. He is faithful. If he thinks that there is someone in the house, he’ll let you know. He will be timid when he first meets someone, but then he comes out of his shell quickly. Not sure if Bourbon is the perfect fit? No problem! We got Huntress 10 yrs ago from a family that did not want her around the new baby due Huntress loves to lick/kiss. She does good with large dogs but not with small dogs. Huntress is 12yrs Born 6/20/2013 She is a Dachshund/mix and is tan. She loves to play ball with anyone who is willing to toss her the ball till she quits. She loves to go for rides in the car. She loves to cuddle up in blankets with whomever and she does hog the bed when she wants to sleep with you. She does have her own 2 beds. She is crate trained, she does use her dog door to go in and out of the house. What I am looking for a home for her: She does good with a person who will be home all day, and she is very protected of her home, so she does not get along with anyone walking in if she does not know them. She does love to lick/kiss, so the person has to be able to let her give you love, and you give it back. She has updated shots/vaccination back in September 2024. She will come with her create, toys, beds.
