Meet Polly and Patty, a bonded mother and son with a sense of fun and play. These two absolutely love chasing each other around the house, and playing with their foster family whenever they can. Polly has a bit lower energy then Patty who still has that puppy spirit, so whilst mom is asleep chew toys and bones keep him occupied. Are you looking for a furry friend to cuddle with on your couch? Well you're in luck because you're getting two furry friends who absolutely love being close to their people no matter what. However if you do need to leave the house for a few hours, that is no problem at all. These two have no issues being in their crate together, with maybe some initial small whines for a few moments but they settle down quickly. They even sleep in their crate through the night with no fuss or accidents! These two simply want to spread love, joy, and kisses whenever they can. They are both very eager and smart, and due to this we believe that their ongoing training should be a breeze! These two seem a bit uninterested when it comes to being on their leash, however when they went to the groomer and vet they had no issues being on their leash at all. So with some more training they will for sure master the leash in all situations. These two do good on a schedule when it comes to their house training. Needless to say Patty is still a pup and they are both learning how to signal that they need to go outside, meaning accidents sometimes still occur especially when it is cold outside. But with some training and time, we believe they will be masters at only going outside. If you want to take them on an adventure a bit further away that is no issue at all. These two do great in the car, they do however need a barrier as Patty always wants to be a co-pilot.
These two love bugs are still learning what is and isn’t a toy, so whilst they are picking up their new routines and home boundaries having them in the crate when nobody is home is the best option! As we mentioned these two are extremely smart and we have no doubt that it won’t take them long to learn. They both however have no resource guarding issues whatsoever, other than when Patty decides it’s a fun game to try and steal his mom’s toys over and over again which leads to Polly letting out a little growl of obedience to her son, a mothers duty. We believe that with proper introductions these two would do good with a confident dog either their size or bigger. They love to play around and chase each other as we mentioned, so a dog with the same energy level and confidence would be great. Due to this we also believe that cats or smaller animals in the household may not be ideal for them unless they are extremely dog savvy. As they want all animals to join in on their game of chase, which might not be everyone's cup of tea. They do not however have a prey drive, they simply get excited and want the animals to play with them. This is the same reason why we believe that children older than 8 would be a better match for them, just because they do get very excited and always want to show love, which they are still learning how to control. They have no issues with people at all, they simply need a second to know that they are safe as they are a bit cautious and need proper introductions.
These two are simply looking for a loving, understanding, happy family that they can call their own. A family who loves to play, cuddle, receive kisses, and experience an abundance of love. A family who is willing to keep their current training going, and see them succeed. These two will be your companions for life, through adventure and cuddles.
