Buddy is a senior dog approximately 13-14 years of age. After receiving veterinary care over the course of several weeks, he has become more sociable and affectionate. Buddy currently follows his foster mom around and enjoys cuddling. He interacts well with other dogs, cats, and gentle children.Buddy has experienced significant neglect in terms of veterinary care, including lack of dental and ocular care. He required the removal of benign eyelid tumors and extensive dental work to preserve his jawbone. He will require ongoing eye medication for life, which has improved his eyesight, although it remains limited. He eats small breed kibble just fine but of course he would love healthy canned food mixed in. He appears to be in good health now, showing enthusiasm and affection towards his foster family. Buddy needed a belly band initially, but his marking has stopped even outside, and he is now completely potty trained as long as he goes outside several times a day. We love this little guy and will only accept a family for him that will care for him for the last few years that he has. We would expect that the family would be able to provide for his future senior veterinary needs and be there with him when it’s time to cross the bridge. If interested in him, please complete an application on our website at www.allpawsrescueok.org. He is neutered, microchipped, negative for heartworms, and current on his vaccines and preventatives. His adoption fee is $75.00.
