Story
Mongle is a sweet girl who may be a bit shy at first, but she quickly warms up—especially when food is involved! She loves affection and will show her belly when she's comfortable. Personality: She has a gentle demeanor and is easily carried. Although she enjoys saying hello to other dogs, she prefers calmer interactions and can become overwhelmed by overly energetic pups. She gets along well with dogs of all sizes and ages, as well as cats; she spent about 1-2 months in a foster home with cats. Energy Level & Exercise: With a moderate energy level, Mongle enjoys outdoor walks and is calm indoors. While she does pull on the leash due to her curiosity and desire to sniff everything, she overall enjoys her time outdoors. Behavior with Resources: She exhibits some resource guarding behaviors, particularly towards people and other dogs. If you attempt to take something away from her, she may growl or snap. It's important to approach her with patience in these situations. Separation and Crate Training: Mongle does not experience separation anxiety but may develop it if she receives excessive attention from her owner. She will bark if she needs something. In the car, she is calm when in her crate, but she does experience motion sickness, so keeping her in a crate is recommended. Potty Training: She is capable of both indoor and outdoor pottying, but with regular outdoor access, she will prefer to go outside. Mongle is looking for a loving home where she can feel secure and cherished. If you think you can provide the right environment for her, please reach out!

Story
Age: 2 yearsWeight: 4.26 kg / 9.4 lbsRora is sweet young pup looking for a new home! At only 2 years old, her foster family tells us she is already quite calm for her age and can easily settle down to relax when at home. Rora LOVES her walks though, and will do big happy zoomies when she has the chance to explore. Affectionate and snuggly, her foster family noted that she will shadow her human around the house or onto the bed. (She`s willing to sleep in the dog bed if you ask, though!) Rora can be quite vocal when left alone and would be especially happy to find a family that is home during the day, or can bring her with them. With her big personality and previous history of having dog friends, Rora could make an ideal addition to a variety of homes! If she sounds like the right pup for you, then come on by CHS today!

Story
Beaky absolutely loves being outside and going for walks. She loves chasing squirrels when she sees them. Also seems to take great pleasure in barking at coyotes nearby, no fear whatsoever. Barks aggressively at dogs but seems genuinely happy to be up close with them. She's very affectionate, loves bum rubs lol Beaker as a senior is seeing health conditions pop up. She recently had a minor seizure at the end of Sept but the vet was not concerned as she recovered well. She does have arthritis now but that does not stop her from wanting to go on her daily walks. We recently discovered she has an enlarged heart to go with her grade 3 heart murmur. She will need to be on heart meds for the rest of her life that will cost approx. $70/month
