Story
Hi, I’m Casey.I’m a thoughtful, independent guy who knows what I like—and what I don’t. I take my time getting to know new people, and I’ll let you know (loudly, sometimes) if I’m not quite ready for attention yet. Because of that, I’m looking for a patient, cat-savvy home that understands that trust is something you earn. But here’s the thing—once you’re in my circle, I’m in. I’ve built really special bonds with my favorite people here, and when I feel safe, I’ll come over for pets, curl up in your lap, and happily keep you company. I’ve got a soft side…you just have to unlock it.I enjoy the simple things in life: cozy naps, watching the world from a window, tasty treats (Friskies Party Mix is a favorite), and a good play session with wand toys or lasers. I’m also a bit of a talker, so you’ll never feel alone.I’m not a fan of being picked up or handled when I’m unsure, and I can get overwhelmed by new people, loud environments, or too much going on. Because of that, I’d do best in a quieter home without young children, with someone who can respect my boundaries and let me settle in at my own pace.If you’re the kind of person who appreciates a cat with depth, personality, and a really rewarding bond, I might just be your perfect match.Medical History: Casey has a condition called plasma cell pododermatitis, an uncommon inflammatory condition that causes his paw pads to have a soft, spongy texture. It is not painful but should be discussed further with an adoption counselor. He has also experienced some hair loss around his eyes, mouth, chin, and neck, which appears to be improving.Weight: ~ 10 lbsAdoption Fee: $30 + tax
