While I am not that old and do love long walks and an occasional dash around the yard, I am just as content relaxing and taking naps. While I am kind hearted and happy with the people I know, I am weary of strangers and new situations. Basically, even though I am a big boy, new things scare me. Because of this, I would do best in a quiet home with no children and a very experienced owner. Moose is crate trained and has already started working on his housebreaking, so with a little patience, he’ll soon be fully house-trained. He’s also fantastic with other dogs and would be happiest in a home with furry friends to share his adventures with. 🐕💕 One thing Moose does need is a large yard with a tall fence or an invisible fence to safely roam and burn off his energy—he’s got the typical Coonhound curiosity and will want to explore everything around him! Hi, I’m Smokey! I’m a super chill 2-year-old female coonhound mix, and I weigh in at a solid 50 lbs. I’m the kind of dog that enjoys life at a relaxed pace—whether I’m lounging around or out for a walk, I have a calm demeanor that makes me easy to be around. My kennel manners are great, so I know how to keep things neat and tidy when it’s time to settle in. I’m also a dog-friendly gal—whether I’m hanging out with my dog pals or meeting new ones, I get along with just about everyone. I’m pretty sure I could live with cats too, since I’ve never had an issue with them. I’m leash trained, so walks are a breeze. I love kids, and I’m always happy to be around the little ones! I'm a shy dog who takes time to warm up to new people. While new situations can trigger anxiety for me, I enjoy the company of other low-energy dogs and have a particular preference for smaller dogs weighing 30 pounds or less. I like jumping up and resting my head on people—but I do it gently, not like I'm trying to knock you over. If you’re looking for a laid-back companion who’s calm, well-mannered, and ready to be your best friend, I think we’ll get along just great! ##2274916##

Her hound nose and innate curiosity allow her to enjoy her surroundings. Apple may have gone to doggy charm school before coming to Lost Dog, as she walks politely on leash. She only tugs to let her person know she wants to explore another area or play with a fellow walker! Apple knows her greeting etiquette, wagging her tail first and then saying hello. Like the gracious gal she is, Apple smiles with her teeth, poses for the camera, and even knows how to give a goofy look. She has done well with other dogs in the past. She loves to play with her toys and can play for hours! Apple especially enjoys when there are treats inside for her to sniff out with her hound nose. While she loves her toys, she is the perfect house guest and knows not to go teeth first on furniture. She always puts her best foot forward and is so excited to meet her new friends. Apple is golden to the core and would love to join your family.
