Story
Cleo has been the most incredible dog for our family with young kids. Unfortunately, we have discovered my son has a dog allergy and it's causing some underlying health issues to continue having dogs in our home. We rescued Cleo 2.5 years ago when she was 2, so she is now 4.5 years old (birthday is May of 2020). She was rescued from an dog hoarding situation in NM with over 30 other dogs. She was malnourished, abused, and had recently had puppies. After timing out at the Aztec Animal Shelter, Rescue Rovers fostered her until we adopted her in May of 2022. To say she is the sweetest dog is an understatement. Cleo is a very chill dog - content with lying around the house all day. She can be athletic and enjoys camping/hiking but would also be a fine companion for an older person who can't exercise her regularly. She is nervous around new males probably due to her past. She plays great with other dogs and small children. It is tough to be writing this but I hope to find her the best home.
