Story
Meet Flash! A 9 month old Coonhound mix with a heart full of potential! Flash has been through some challenges, and his anxiety likely stems from a lack of structure, confidence, and socialization in his early life. However, this smart and eager boy is making great strides at Aledo Ranch, where he's been engaging in mental enrichment activities like puzzle feeders, basic obedience training, and leash walks with plenty of sniffing time to satisfy his curious nature.Flash loves to have a job to do and thrives when he's mentally stimulated. Although he's currently lacking in confidence and can be timid around other dogs, especially those larger than him, with slow introductions and patience, we believe he'll come out of his shell and shine.Flash would do best in a home with experience handling working breeds, where he can continue to build his confidence and grow into the incredible dog we know he can be. He's a sweet, fun-loving boy who, with the right guidance, has a bright future ahead of him!To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Hi there! My name is Axel. I am a 2-year-old Redbone Coonhound and still a big ole puppy at heart! My favorite activities are destroying toys, roughhousing with my foster-dog brother, going for runs, and passing out for naps! I am very smart, know several commands and am potty trained. I love to be mentally and physically stimulated - especially if it means I get some yummy treats! When I'm done being active for the day, I love to snuggle with my foster humans (no matter where they're sitting!). How else can I give them kisses and get the best head scratches in return?! I am friendly with other dogs and love to play, but I'm not a fan of cats or small critters. I don't know my own size, so I would do best in a home with older children. I have so much love to give and would love to be your new companion. Please take a chance and adopt me today! All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise. Story
Eleanor is currently one of our fospice dogs. She is not available for adoption and will remain in our care. Eleanor is doing so well. She is recovered from her surgery. Very healthy and happy now. Found as stray in the middle of nowhere, we received a call from the ACO requesting our support for this gal. She was covered in fleas so thick you could see the colonies and jumping everywhere. She was covered in mange and had a tumor. She was so weak that she collapsed as soon as she knew she was safe. She needed an immediate blood transfusion. Please consider donating to her care.
