Story
Hi! I'm Steve! I'm an approximately 3-year-old, Hound/Great Pyr mix who weighs about 95 lbs. I was surrendered to the shelter on 12/24/2024 since sadly, my owner's health started to decline, and they were unable to continue taking care of me. So now I am available for adoption and can't wait to find a family to love again. I am a very sweet boy who loves his people. According to my previous owner, I am good with other dogs, cats, and kids of all ages. I have spent time in the home with humans of all ages. I am house broken and crate trained. I walk well on a leash and would love a family that will take me for walks and play with me. We can also relax while watching Netflix. I am game for both! My adoption fee is $125. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, basic boosters, and heartworm negative. Meet and greets will be scheduled by approved online application. If you think I would be the perfect fit for you and your family, please visit https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ to fill out an application today and RAC staff will be in touch with next steps!  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. December 28, 2024, 11:08 am

Story
Angel III is a sweet and curious pup. She is most confident when hiking off leash (once comfortable with callback) or simply exploring new neighborhoods. She loves walking around with toys in her mouth but utterly refuses to tear them up. She is trained very well but will leave some fur on your furniture if given the opportunity. She likes being in her cage as long as she has enough room and will go in on command. She is also housebroken. Her love language is 100% physical touch. She loves companionship from people and/or other dogs and would do best in a home that is able to cater to this need. She recently lost her best friend and would do better finding someone to fill the void for her. Her signature dance will leave you extremely tickled as she moves her backside up and down against you upon being excited, anxious or both! Story
Meet super gentle, hunky Silas. He is a tan, short-haired mix, 8 years old, and 80 pounds of sweetness. As a puppy, he was dumped in a country ditch along with his mama and 3 litter mates, who were rescued by his current mom. He is neutered, housebroken, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and takes monthly HW and tick prevention. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s very healthy and is a calm boy. Silasâ&#194&#128&#194&#153 favorite hobbies include laying in the sun with his belly pointed towards the sky, watching TV with you, napping with his doggy brother and sister, and going for walks (heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s great on a leash). He has always lived with other dogs (up to 8 others at one point) and gets along great with them all. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s a follower, not an alpha. He has not been socialized with cats nor has he been around children. But he is so easygoing that he will likely be great with kids. He loves to sit next to you and wait to see whatâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s next: Are we going outside? Are we going to sit and watch TV? Is it time for bed? He will follow wherever you go or he can be on his own. He sleeps inside at night but is also used to a dog house if he needs to stay outside. Silas is low maintenance, a bit shy, and easy to please. His current owners are moving overseas and are hoping he can find a new home where he can be with other dogs. He does not have any bad behaviors; just an easy-going, loving temperament. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Silas, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Meet bouncy, bubbly June Bug. She is a black, tan, and white, short-haired mix, with a long, curly tail. JB is 30 pounds of cuteness. She is neutered, housebroken, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and takes monthly HW and tick prevention. She was adopted from the SPCA when she was about 18 months old and she is now about 3 1/2 years old. Her favorite hobbies include splashing in a backyard baby pool and playing fetch with you and her Kong. She has created her own game that is called â&#194&#128&#194&#156Drop the Kong in a bucket of water and then go diving for itâ&#194&#128&#194&#157. She needs to have a fenced yard since she loves (loves loves) to play fetch, and she should have at least 1 other dog in the family for playtime. She has not been socialized with cats and has not been around children (since her adoption), but she is very gentle and playful, so she should be fine with kids. The Bug is an active dog who loves to run around the yard chasing squirrels or butterflies. She is super affectionate (if she could have it her way she would be a lap dog), and she wants to please. She is very well-behaved and chills when hanging out inside. Her current owners are moving overseas and are hoping he can find a new home where she can be with other dogs. She does not have any bad behaviors; just an easy-going, loving temperament. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about June Bug, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org.
