Story
Bomber is a 3.5 year old American English coonhound. He is very affectionate, i.e he loves to cuddle. He's good with playing with other dogs, doesn't really mind cats, but loves their food, and allows children to play with him. A perfect day for him would be waking up at 10, going outside do his business, bark, come inside sleep, afternoon cuddles, bark some more, eat, and back to bed. He's a very chill dog, but has some major quirks. He's a coonhound so expect barking. Doesn't really play with toys, but will do tug a war, or if he does play with a toy it's by himself. He is very much a paradox. Both the most and least intelligent dog I've known. If there is a way of getting food off the counter he'll find it. Backstory: He was abused as a pup, rescued, failed adoption and returned, my friends adopted him, but could no longer deal with his personality, I adopted him for my OG pup cause they get along, but his personality... I truly do think he is a sweet boy and deserves a loving

Story
Rowan looks like he has been through alot and we would like to find him a home where he will be loved and cherished. He came into the shelter with some pretty severe lacerations or possibly tied up with a cable that infected his neck. He is doing much better now and has healed up about 90%. He has been neutered and up to date on all shots. Rowan is dog selective so either needs to be the only dog in the home or we can do a meet and greet to see how he does with your dog. Please consider adopting Rowan!!! He deserves to get out of the shelter and start a good life.

Story
Come meet me and 100+ of my adoptable friends at Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue's MEGA adoption event, Home for the Holidays! Saturday, November 16th, 2024 at the Warren County Career Center from 11am - 3pm! Meet Simon! Simon is a 2.5-year-old, 65-lb Treeing Walker Coonhound who loves playing, going on walks and the dog park, and cuddles. And Simon makes good on the hound dog name - he sings at times and follows his nose - but he also is loving, playful and affectionate. Simon loves other dogs but is way too interested in cats (so no cats), he is good with men, women and children. Simon LOVES walkies and mealtimes. He will dance around in happy anticipation of both! He's very cute and sweet. Simon likes finding treats, chewing on his Kong with peanut butter in it or following commands like "sit" or "go crate" (as long as a treat is offered). He loves to lounge on the couch and will snore! He would be thrilled to have a home where he is allowed on the bed, as this is his favorite place other than literally anywhere with his nose in a food bowl. Simon's crate is positioned behind my desk, so he often goes there to relax at different times of the day. He is a good boy who doesn't get into much that he is not supposed to. If you're looking for a playful dog who loves to take walks, snuggle hard, and crash, Simon is for you! Simon is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. His adoption fee is $275.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
So, usually the pair, Bonnie and Clyde are running AWAY from people, right?? WELL, NOT US!!! We were found on the side of the road running TOWARDS the rescuers! Skinny and sad and STARVING we were just waiting for the right people to stop and save us :) We went straight to the rescue and are loving the life of a rescued pup... of course, we are ready to "steal" away to YOUR house any.time...... ;) We are big pups with lots of growing to do, we will be the size of the coonhound versus a lab. Our ears kind of give us away.... AND they lead us in the right direction, cause we can channel the moon if we want :) Either one of us would fill your home with love and houndy barks, we are built for adventure so if you are looking for a partner in "crime aka adventure" we are ready!!! Adopt one of us soon!! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
Valentino is a sweet, goofy boy who loves to be with his people.  He has been around ages 3-70 and has done well!  He will steal your heart with his unabashed love and boundless goofiness! If you know a coonhound, you are aware!   Valentino wants a buddy or family to hang out with.  He would love to go with you places as he is good in the car.  He needs some work on the leash but did surprisingly better than expected given no real training. Valentino loves walks so he will be getting more exposure and work in!! I believe this boy would hike and explore with you as well!   Valentino is crate trained. He keeps his crate clean.  He seems to be potty trained if on a schedule. Valentino marked when first into foster home so he wears a belly band without issue.  It has been a few days  and the desire has lessened tremendously and soon he will be able to go without!   You can't go wrong added this sweet boy to your household. He will definitely steal your heart!!  November 13, 2024, 11:08 am
