Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. EmmyLou is a sweet companion. She seems to be a well adjusted dog, and has made herself right at home! In her foster home, Emmy has 3 other dogs (two small and one giant), 4 human siblings (ranging from 7-12) and 3 goats. She seems to do well with all of these factors within the home. Emmy thinks at times that she is a lap dog, and really just wants affection from her foster family. She loves to give kisses, and enjoys getting her belly rubbed. Emmy has been an amazing foster dog and we have only had her for a few short days. In the foster home, we are working on keeping Emmy down from counters, as she can be tall when she stands on her hind legs and likes to steal food off of the counter. She has been responding well to being corrected, and just needs someone to be patient with her while she works on this skill. EmmyLou absolutely loves belly scratches! When she’s tired, she lets out the most dramatic sigh before drifting off to sleep. She enjoys cuddling in bed and often uses a human as her pillow. EmmyLou also loves playing with the other dogs in our home and enjoys fetching toys, though she’s still learning to bring them back. She seems to love all kinds of toys—whether it’s balls, plushies, or Kong toys. She has an adorable, curious puppy face and gets very interested in noises, always wanting to investigate where they come from. EmmyLou also has a long black tail that looks like it belongs to another dog, which adds to her unique charm. She’s such a sweetheart and made herself right at home from day one. Even though we’ve only had her a few days, it already feels like she’s part of the family. With her sweet eyes and affectionate nature, she’s become her foster mom’s little shadow.
