Story
Pumpkin-Redtick Coonhound (American English Coonhound) female, ~ 2 yr. (March 2025) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Pumpkin came to Rescue through a Prison Training program. She's been through the Prison Training program and has learned so much. Pumpkin has been deemed for a pet/companion home, versus a working dog/service dog. The trainer says she has a sweet temperament. She is housetrained and crate trained, having lived in an apartment at the prison, with her inmate trainer. He's had basic obedience. She learned about grooming and good husbandry skills. Pumpkin is good with other dogs. She has not met cats, some Coonhounds have a strong prey drive, so a home without a cat may be best. She has not lived with children due to being in the Prison Program but with her great personality, seems to have a lot of potential as a family dog. Pumpkin is a large breed dog, about 50#, all grown up. She will enjoy an active life and the breed is known for their intelligence and loyalty. They bond well with their owner. Pumpkin's adoption fee is $400 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For an application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.

Story
Henry is a 6 year old male red-tick Coonhound. We adopted him sight unseen a couple of years ago from a foster family, without knowing much about his background. Unfortunately, we do not feel he is comfortable in our home anymore, and have made the tough decision to re-home him. We would like to make the transition sooner than later for him and our family. We really feel he would do well in a home without young children, and would absolutely love a home with lots of outdoor space, land, or even a farm to run around. He is a sweet boy, but is not super affectionate. He loves to go on long walks, stretch out his long legs, roll around on his back, and cuddle his blanket. He definitely enjoys being outside a lot, which we cannot provide for him. He does suffer from severe anxiety, and also does not like enclosed or tight spaces. Is ok playing with other dogs in our experience, but unsure if he’s ever lived with other dogs. Please consider this sweet boy for your home.

Story
Hi,   I’m Honey a 4 year old hound gal about 50#.   I’m described as a "Soft Soul" that needs love, patience and understanding to acclimate and adjust to a new home.     Adopted as a puppy, my initial home was not a good outcome.  Two years after my adoption, I was returned to Molly’s very fearful of men.  I’m great with cats, dogs, children and adult women. My challenge is men, but I’m learning that men can be kind and loving.  Since returning to Molly's a male volunteer has been working with me and I'm feeling more comfortable and confident with his kindness.   I continue to heal, receive love and am thriving in a safe, secure environment.  I get to run and play with other dogs and sleep inside in a warm, comfy, cozy bed.   I know that new experiences await me and am looking forward to finding that perfect loving, secure home where I can blossom as part of a family again.  The name Honey signifies a Sweet and loving soul and that's what I am.  I just need a chance to flourish in the right home!    Honey   To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Fill the form out completely, print, scan and email back to mollysplace@verizon.net. You must obtain pre-approval prior to visiting the dog or cat. Adoptions fees include the following:    spay/neuter surgery,  microchip and registration,  age appropriate vaccinations,  initial dewormings,  Activyl for fleas,  tested for FeLV and FIV (cats only),  bubble bath prior to going home (dogs only) WE do not "HOLD" animals without an approved application and a non-refundable/non-transferable paid adoption fee.  Adoptions are on a first come, first serve basis.  We can not send extra pictures.  WE do not ship, you must pick up the pet.  Kitties must be transported in a secure cat carrier.   Pooches require a "martingale" collar and a non-retractable leash. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 26, 2025, 8:32 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. The "D" puppies are happy to play with their toys and run around the yard for a little. They like to chase the leaves blowing in the wind or even their balls. They all love belly rubs and calm right down as soon as u start petting them. Of this litter, Dylan is the most chill and will just lay on your lap anytime you like. Daphne can go play crazy or just lay around. They are completely crate trained and almost totally house trained as long as you are paying attention to their signal to go out. They love playing with the resident Labrador Retriever and have fun with him. They now their commands for sit and stay and we are working on their recall ability on the hiking trails around our home. These pups came from Mississippi without a mother.  There are 6 male and 2 females in this litter.  This litter has had their 3 DAPP's, Bordetella and Rabies, along with Sentinel Chewable and Topical Revolution applied.    If you are interested in meeting Daphne, please complete an application on our website:  https://homewardbound2u.rescuegroups.org If you already have an approved application with us, email the Foster at: suehollenbach@comcast.net and include the following information: 1.
