Story
I’m dreading making this post; but I have a 6 year old Beagle/coonhound mix named Ruger. He needs his rabies vaccine but all others are up to date. He is very sweet, and loving. Knows sit, lay down, paw. He’s crate trained. Not suited for in a house left alone all day as he will have accidents and potty and chew. He does get bad anxiety. He does do fine in the house if you let him out several times a day, and are around with him, and will cuddle with you! He’s great with kids of all ages but is not good with other dogs at all!! He does get along with my female that he’s been around since a puppy and occasionally with my male chocolate lab but then randomly starts a fight with my male. Just because he gets along with the female does not mean that he gets along with other female dogs!!! He is food territorial! He doesn’t like cats, he will chase and kill them. He really needs to be the only dog in the house.

Story
🐾 Meet Moose! 🐾 This sweet, funny, and lovable 3-year-old Coonhound is looking for his forever home! At 67 pounds of pure joy, Moose is as curious as they come and loves exploring his surroundings. He's attentive and eager to please, making him a great companion for someone who enjoys outdoor adventures and spending quality time together. Moose is crate trained and has already started working on his housebreaking, so with a little patience, he’ll soon be fully house-trained. He’s also fantastic with other dogs and would be happiest in a home with furry friends to share his adventures with. 🐕💕 One thing Moose does need is a large yard with a tall fence or an invisible fence to safely roam and burn off his energy—he’s got the typical Coonhound curiosity and will want to explore everything around him! If you're ready for a playful, affectionate, and intelligent pup who will keep you laughing and give you endless love, Moose might just be the perfect fit for your family. 🐾 Is Moose the one you've been looking for? Contact us today to meet this amazing boy! Moose is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. Story
Hi, I’m Smokey! I’m a super chill 2-year-old female coonhound mix, and I weigh in at a solid 50 lbs. I’m the kind of dog that enjoys life at a relaxed pace—whether I’m lounging around or out for a walk, I have a calm demeanor that makes me easy to be around. My kennel manners are great, so I know how to keep things neat and tidy when it’s time to settle in. I’m also a dog-friendly gal—whether I’m hanging out with my dog pals or meeting new ones, I get along with just about everyone. I’m pretty sure I could live with cats too, since I’ve never had an issue with them. I’m leash trained, so walks are a breeze. I love kids, and I’m always happy to be around the little ones! I'm a shy dog who takes time to warm up to new people. While new situations can trigger anxiety for me, I enjoy the company of other low-energy dogs and have a particular preference for smaller dogs weighing 30 pounds or less. I like jumping up and resting my head on people—but I do it gently, not like I'm trying to knock you over. If you’re looking for a laid-back companion who’s calm, well-mannered, and ready to be your best friend, I think we’ll get along just great! ##2274916##

Story
https://foha.org/pet/colt/ Hi everyone my name is Colt. My name would have you thinking of a young energetic horse, romping and running in a field. While I am not that old and do love long walks and an occasional dash around the yard, I am just as content relaxing and taking naps. While I am kind hearted and happy with the people I know, I am weary of strangers and new situations. Basically, even though I am a big boy, new things scare me. Because of this, I would do best in a quiet home with no children and a very experienced owner. If you are willing to take the time to get to know me and help me with my insecurities, please fill out an application and one of my favorite volunteers will contact you to discuss further before you come out to meet me. Check out all of the dogs available at Friends of Homeless Animals! https://foha.org/pet-adoption/find-a-dog/

Story
Hi,   I’m Honey a 4 year old hound gal about 50#.   I’m described as a "Soft Soul" that needs love, patience and understanding to acclimate and adjust to a new home.     Adopted as a puppy, my initial home was not a good outcome.  Two years after my adoption, I was returned to Molly’s very fearful of men.  I’m great with cats, dogs, children and adult women. My challenge is men, but I’m learning that men can be kind and loving.  Since returning to Molly's a male volunteer has been working with me and I'm feeling more comfortable and confident with his kindness.   I continue to heal, receive love and am thriving in a safe, secure environment.  I get to run and play with other dogs and sleep inside in a warm, comfy, cozy bed.   I know that new experiences await me and am looking forward to finding that perfect loving, secure home where I can blossom as part of a family again.  The name Honey signifies a Sweet and loving soul and that's what I am.  I just need a chance to flourish in the right home!    Honey   To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Fill the form out completely, print, scan and email back to mollysplace@verizon.net. You must obtain pre-approval prior to visiting the dog or cat. Adoptions fees include the following:    spay/neuter surgery,  microchip and registration,  age appropriate vaccinations,  initial dewormings,  Activyl for fleas,  tested for FeLV and FIV (cats only),  bubble bath prior to going home (dogs only) WE do not "HOLD" animals without an approved application and a non-refundable/non-transferable paid adoption fee.  Adoptions are on a first come, first serve basis.  We can not send extra pictures.  WE do not ship, you must pick up the pet.  Kitties must be transported in a secure cat carrier.   Pooches require a "martingale" collar and a non-retractable leash. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 26, 2025, 8:32 pm
