Story
So, usually the pair, Bonnie and Clyde are running AWAY from people, right?? WELL, NOT US!!! We were found on the side of the road running TOWARDS the rescuers! Skinny and sad and STARVING we were just waiting for the right people to stop and save us :) We went straight to the rescue and are loving the life of a rescued pup... of course, we are ready to steal away to YOUR house any.time...... ;) We are big pups with lots of growing to do, we will be the size of the coonhound versus a lab. Our ears kind of give us away.... AND they lead us in the right direction, cause we can channel the moon if we want :) Either one of us would fill your home with love and houndy barks, we are built for adventure so if you are looking for a partner in crime aka adventure; we are ready!!! Adopt one of us soon!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
I’m dreading making this post; but I have a 6 year old Beagle/coonhound mix named Ruger. He needs his rabies vaccine but all others are up to date. He is very sweet, and loving. Knows sit, lay down, paw. He’s crate trained. Not suited for in a house left alone all day as he will have accidents and potty and chew. He does get bad anxiety. He does do fine in the house if you let him out several times a day, and are around with him, and will cuddle with you! He’s great with kids of all ages but is not good with other dogs at all!! He does get along with my female that he’s been around since a puppy and occasionally with my male chocolate lab but then randomly starts a fight with my male. Just because he gets along with the female does not mean that he gets along with other female dogs!!! He is food territorial! He doesn’t like cats, he will chase and kill them. He really needs to be the only dog in the house.

Story
Hi, I’m Smokey! I’m a super chill 2-year-old female coonhound mix, and I weigh in at a solid 50 lbs. I’m the kind of dog that enjoys life at a relaxed pace—whether I’m lounging around or out for a walk, I have a calm demeanor that makes me easy to be around. My kennel manners are great, so I know how to keep things neat and tidy when it’s time to settle in. I’m also a dog-friendly gal—whether I’m hanging out with my dog pals or meeting new ones, I get along with just about everyone. I’m pretty sure I could live with cats too, since I’ve never had an issue with them. I’m leash trained, so walks are a breeze. I love kids, and I’m always happy to be around the little ones! I'm a shy dog who takes time to warm up to new people. While new situations can trigger anxiety for me, I enjoy the company of other low-energy dogs and have a particular preference for smaller dogs weighing 30 pounds or less. I like jumping up and resting my head on people—but I do it gently, not like I'm trying to know you over. If you’re looking for a laid-back companion who’s calm, well-mannered, and ready to be your best friend, I think we’ll get along just great! ##2274916##

Story
🐾 Meet Moose! 🐾 This sweet, funny, and lovable 3-year-old Coonhound is looking for his forever home! At 67 pounds of pure joy, Moose is as curious as they come and loves exploring his surroundings. He's attentive and eager to please, making him a great companion for someone who enjoys outdoor adventures and spending quality time together. Moose is crate trained and has already started working on his housebreaking, so with a little patience, he’ll soon be fully house-trained. He’s also fantastic with other dogs and would be happiest in a home with furry friends to share his adventures with. 🐕💕 One thing Moose does need is a large yard with a tall fence or an invisible fence to safely roam and burn off his energy—he’s got the typical Coonhound curiosity and will want to explore everything around him! If you're ready for a playful, affectionate, and intelligent pup who will keep you laughing and give you endless love, Moose might just be the perfect fit for your family. 🐾 Is Moose the one you've been looking for? Contact us today to meet this amazing boy! Moose is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. To learn more about Apple, please get in touch with rebeccalspicher@gmail.com Apple will be attending one of our adoption events coming up this weekend! To learn more about our upcoming events and to see which event they will be attending, please visit our event page at https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/ (*please note that the specific event pages are typically updated on Fridays with information on which dogs will be attending which events*) Meet Apple, the golden girl with a zest for life. Her hound nose and innate curiosity allow her to enjoy her surroundings. Apple may have gone to doggy charm school before coming to Lost Dog, as she walks politely on leash. She only tugs to let her person know she wants to explore another area or play with a fellow walker! Apple knows her greeting etiquette, wagging her tail first and then saying hello. Like the gracious gal she is, Apple smiles with her teeth, poses for the camera, and even knows how to give a goofy look. She has done well with other dogs in the past. She loves to play with her toys and can play for hours! Apple especially enjoys when there are treats inside for her to sniff out with her hound nose. While she loves her toys, she is the perfect house guest and knows not to go teeth first on furniture. She always puts her best foot forward and is so excited to meet her new friends. Apple is golden to the core and would love to join your family.
