Story
Meet Rosie!
This sweet lady is a 4-year-old Great Dane/coonhound mix. While this girl weighs in at 90lbs, she spends most of her days curled up on the couch (or laying in the sun, when weather permits) and is as gentle of a giant as they come!
If there’s one thing this girl loves, it’s people. When you get home from school or work, expect lots of love and kisses to welcome you back home! But don't let her daytime sleepiness fool you, she loves to go out for walks or runs. She will move at your pace whether it’s a slow stroll or an all-out sprint!! On walks, she loves to stop and smell the roses but does great on a leash. Rosie also loves chew bones as toys and any tough chewy treat (such as pig ears). She is fully housetrained and will impress you with the many commands she knows, such as: sit, down, stay, off, heel, come, and place.
Ms. Rosie has been known to sneak snacks off the table, so it’s important to leave any tasty treats in your pantry. She likes everything from cheese to crackers. She would do best in a home without small children. This girl needs a family where the kids are grown up and won’t be knocked over by a wagging tail!
If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle, and cuddly companion to complete your family, trust that Rosie is the sweetest addition you can ask for.
Rosie is currently being fostered in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her adoption fee is $275.00.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
