Story
MEET Harley! Harley was rescued, along with her siblings, off of the euthanasia list at a kill shelter in Northern CA, and has been bouncing around from foster home to foster home ever since. She is the only pup remaining of her litter, and is more than ready to find her forever family! Personality: Harley is a ball of excitement and ready for anything! Her happy "tippy taps always make the day of whoever she interacts with! Harley loves people and has no issue greeting kind strangers. She loves to play with squeaky toys, go on walks & runs, and wander the backyard using her impressive sense of smell to track bugs and critters. Training and Behavior: Harley is a quick learner and extremely food motivated. She loves soft meaty treats - ESPECIALLY turkey hot dogs! Harley knows her basics like sit, down, and stay, and has even joined her foster at pet-friendly stores and outdoor cafes! She is crate trained, potty trained, and is working with a professional trainer to fine-tune her leash training and discomfort around large dogs. Unfortunately, due to the inconsistency she has experienced over time, she can be timid when suddenly rushed and is not comfortable with overly friendly or pushy dogs. Ideal Home: Harley will require an active owner, ideally who is retired or works from home. A house with a fenced yard would be ideal for her to burn off her energy and enjoy independent outdoor time, though she could also live comfortably in an apartment or single story home as long as she receives proper enrichment.
