Colorpoint Shorthair kittens & cats in Rosenberg, Texas

We rescued a male orange flame point smoke about 1-year-old. Shots, neutered, no fleas, worms/ear mites; FIV negative. ATTENTION RESCUE AGENCIES: help! we cannot keep him much longer & will have to to take him to the shelter; we do not want to :(; he has so much potential. He is talkative & interactive, likes to play & look out of the window. He will only let us pet him when he is eating wet food. We try to feed him on the recliner or our lap so he can get more used to the attention. He has been around the house interacting for 5 weeks. Prior to that we had him in a bathroom for a week. He rubs on us, clearly wanting interaction and attention. Laura is able to be closer to him, and touch him more. He spend time close to us & comes out when we get home. He is aggressive with our male cat who does not hiss or fight back; our male growls and runs. We think he wants to play....Our two 17 yr females hiss at him, he rubs on them & leaves them alone. I found this kitten on my back patio in January when it was cold. At that time I assumed the kitten was 4 weeks old. I have been taking care of this cat up to now and I'm assuming the cat is around 12 weeks old The kitten is very sweet it's very kind, and I would say this cat is to the point of being polite. Kenny has been outside but is litter box trained has been using the litter box outside. It likes to be pet and it loves treats and it loves playing with toys. In my opinion I think this cat needs another kitten or a cat as a friend cuz it seems to be quite lonely by itself. I will be taking the kitten in next week to a vet for initial examination and percent of shots. And I'm also willing to pay for the cat to get spayed. I have allergies to cat dander and fur and some other medical issues that will not allow me to keep the cat in the house currently. But Kitty would love to be an inside pet with another cat around to have as a friend.
