Story
Bentley is a sweet, sweet young collie! We estimate his age to be 2 years old. He tested Lyme Positive (but with no signs of an active infection), and he is doing great on antibiotics. He is a mid-sized boy, recently neutered, and he has classic collie markings and a lovely coat. Bentley is energetic and playful, but he is cuddly and loves his people too! He knows sit, shake and delightedly bounds over when called. He immediately made himself at home on his foster mom's sofa and bed, and loves early morning cuddles. He’s getting along easily with the other collies in the house, and they enjoy playing together regularly.  He loves humans too, and greets everyone as a new best friend! Bentley is housebroken and has shown no fear or aggression … he's just a happy, sweet, loving boy, who is ready for his forever home and an active family to call his own!If you are interested in rescuing a collie, please complete this short adoption questionnaire. Our standard adoption fee is $450. This fee helps us to cover (and sometimes only partially cover) the expense of providing each dog with a Health Exam, Rabies/DHPP vaccines, Heartworm Test, Heartworm Preventative, Flea & Tick Protection, Microchip, Neuter/Spay, a Bath and any other medical needs.  Thank you for your consideration in adopting a collie in need!!! To learn more about Buddy, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org Buddy will be attending one of our adoption events coming up this weekend! To learn more about our upcoming events and to see which event they will be attending, please visit our event page at https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/ (*please note that the specific event pages are typically updated on Fridays with information on which dogs will be attending which events*) Good ‘ol Buddy Boy! Buddy is ready for his next adventure! Whether that is hanging around with his people or going for a walk in the park. On walks, Buddy gently pulls to investigate new smells and say hello to new friends. This goofy and charming boy would benefit from another dog at home to remind him, that his pawrents will be coming home soon! Buddy has done well previously with doggie siblings and even thrives with their company. He doesn’t get rambunctious, he likes to be invited but is a ‘let me just watch’ kind of guy. Buddy has learned to jump in and out of the car, showing that he has gained so much confidence and is one smart cookie. He appears to be housebroken. Although he gets stressed out at adoption events, he is the sweetest pup at home. He loves to run around in the sand… so if you understand correctly- you may have found your new beach bum pal! Buddy has good leash manners, leaving trash alone and wanting to say hello to other canine friends. Buddy is a fiercely loyal companion who will be sure to warm the hearts of your whole family.

To learn more about Shylo, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org Hello friends! It’s me, Shylo. I landed in my foster home in DC, and I’m settling in nicely. There are friendly dogs here, plus two cats. Foster Mom wanted me to tell you I have a gorgeous and soft coat, and I’m a very sweet boy. The dogs here loved me at first glance. Foster Mom says it’s easy to fall in love with a guy as sweet and good-looking as me. Did I mention, she says I have the best smile? I’ll write more as I settle in this week. So, check back for my updates. Bark at you later, Shylo

Story
Aramis is a sweet loving boy who has a wagging tail at all times, and the cutest little ears that will stand straight up at times. He is the more outgoing one between him and his brother Blackey. When he gets excited he has the cutest little hops that he does around your feet, and loves to give your hand kisses. He seems to talk when he yawns with the cutest little noises. He gets along well with dogs of all ages in the house, and seems to do well with cats in the house as well. He is exposed to school aged children daily, and also does well with them! He is pretty laid back for a puppy. He likes to run around the yard, and play with toys and the other dogs, and then is ready to come inside and lay down and cuddle up next to you for a nap. He is crate trained, and sleeps for 8+ hours during the night without accidents or whining. He is also crated during the work day for 5 hours with no accidents. We are working on house training and it is going very well. We are also working on the “sit” command. Overall Aramis is your typical curious loving little puppy. Accuracy is not guaranteed; however, information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge.  For more information on the pet, please send an email to info@aforeverhome.org March 25, 2025, 3:37 pm
