Story
Twiddle was adopted in January 2023 and returned due to no longer being wanted. She is a very sweet girl who loves pets and attention. She does tend to be on the shyer side with new people, but quickly warms up. She is said to be good with children. She is VERY vocal and will talk back to you even when she is getting attention. Her cold weather foster said she would bark while outside but would not bark once she came in. Twiddle is high energy and would do best in an active home or one with a yard to get her energy out in. Twiddle loves going on walks. She is housebroken and crate trained, and is used to being crated when left alone. She walks fairly well on a leash and rides well in a car. She does well being groomed and she absolutely loves being brushed. She is not cat friendly. She does well with other dogs as long as there are no toys around. She is spayed, vaccinated with DHPP and Bordetella, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm negative and on prevention. She does need a rabies vaccination. ECHS does not reserve adoptable animals for the public. Adoptions are first come first serve the day of availability. Please note that availability is subject to change at any point in time per ECHS discretion.

Sparrow was adopted from us in February of 2023 and returned because he started jumping the short chain link fence. If he is going to be left in a fenced in yard, it will need to be a tall wooden fence. He is good with dogs, kids, and strangers. He does, however, seem to not like strange men. He does tend to growl and bark at men he does not know. He will time and patience before he fully trusts one. We do always highly recommend a meet and greet with any current household dogs. He has a high prey drive towards cats but when in a home with them, he is terrified. We do not recommend he be homed with a cat. While with a foster he was around cattle and we were told he did great with them. He is housebroken and crate trained. He rides well in a car and does well being groomed. He has done okay on a leash here at the shelter, but the previous adopter said that he does need leash work. A foster stated that he was a puller. He loves to cuddle and watch tv. Sparrow is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention.

PLEASE NOTE: Smoke Show is a very skittish puppy. While she has started to slowly warm up to staff, she will most definitely be scared in a new environment. When she first came here, she was very barky and even a bit nippy, so please be patient with her as she adjusts to your home. Smoke Show was found here in Stephenville and was never reclaimed. She is still very scared here at the shelter and not too fond of humans. She does accept treats from people's hands but will run to the back of her kennel once she has them. When she feels cornered, she does bark in fear. We are still trying to work with her to get her used to human interaction. She currently is in foster, and the foster has told us she is still a bit skeptical of new people but does open up easier if she first meets you outside. She loves other dogs, but a meet and greet is always highly recommended with any current household dogs. She is good with cats and livestock. She is treat motivated and has started to learn sit. She will need to be fed separately from other dogs as she is possessive over food and treats. She is a puppy and does potty in the crates. She is currently receiving potty training by her foster, and they say she is doing great. Any negative behaviors such as potting in the house and chewing on things will need to be trained out of her. Smoke Show has all her vaccinations, is spayed, and de-wormed. She is pending microchip. ECHS does not reserve adoptable animals for the public. Adoptions are first come first serve the day of availability. Please note that availability is subject to change at any point in time per ECHS discretion
