Meet LUNA aka 40 lbs of pure love! This sweet girl is estimated to be about 5 years old and is ready to check out of her foster home and into her furever home. LUNA is a playful spirit who loves to fetch and put her toy collection to use. She's also a social butterfly who enjoys playing with other dogs. LUNA is also known for her enviable leash walking manners – her foster mom takes her on daily walks, and she does great. Her ideal furever home will have a fenced yard where LUNA can run and play to her heart’s content. Despite clearly being an active-lifestyle enthusiast, LUNA is also your ultimate cuddle buddy: She loves snuggling up with her favorite human on the couch, soaking up all the love and affection she can get. LUNA is a big fan of car rides, so if you’re looking for a canine companion to go on adventures with, she’s your girl! Her number one requirement? Eugene originally came in from a cruelty case, was adopted, then found out in the county as a stray. The previous adopter no longer wanted him when contacted. Eugene is still in his puppy era and has boundless energy. He came in with several dogs originally and did well with his finder's senior dogs, but a meet and greet with future doggy siblings is highly recommended. He walks very well on a leash and knows how to sit. He loves giving kisses and any kind of attention. He is still a chewer since he is a puppy and stuffed toys don't last very long in his kennel. We do not know if he is potty trained.. Eugene is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and de-wormed. All adoptions are first come first serve the day of availability. ECHS does not reserve adoptable animals for the public. Please note that availability is subject to change at any point in time per ECHS discretion.

PLEASE NOTE: Smoke Show is a very skittish puppy. While she has started to slowly warm up to staff, she will most definitely be scared in a new environment. When she first came here she was very barky and even a bit nippy, so please be patient with her as she adjusts to your home. Smoke Show was found near 800 W Washington St and never reclaimed. She is still very scared here at the shelter and not too fond of humans. She does accept treats from people's hands but will run to the back of her kennel once she has them. When she feels cornered, she does bark in fear. We are still trying to work with her to get her used to human interaction. She loves other dogs, but a meet and greet is always highly recommended with any current household dogs. She is treat motivated and has started to learn sit. She will need to be fed separately from other dogs as she is possessive over food and treats. She is a puppy and does potty in the crates. Any negative behaviors such as potting in the house and chewing on things will need to be trained out of her. Smoke Show has all her vaccinations, is spayed, and de-wormed. She is pending microchip. ECHS does not reserve adoptable animals for the public. Adoptions are first come first serve the day of availability. Please note that availability is subject to change at any point in time per ECHS discretion

Guy was found as a stray and not reclaimed. Animal Control has dealt with him at his previous home and he does have a bite history. Because of this, we are recommending an adult only home and someone who has experience with dogs. Since being at the shelter, he has been very friendly and didn't take too long to open up to staff. He loves all attention and giving big old slobbery kisses. He knows how to play fetch and loves to play tug of war. He gets excited when he sees people he likes. We do not know how he is with other dogs, and we always highly recommend a meet and greet with any current household dogs. He walks fairly well on a leash. He will not stay in a crate for very long, but has seemed to be potty trained while in his kennel. Guy is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention.
