Hello, my name is Winter! I am a 1 year old female Collie mix that weighs approx. 45 lbs. I was surrendered to RAC due to my previous home no longer being able to care for me. I am now looking for a FURever home to call my own! I am a friendly girl that loves spending time with my people. I am crate trained and walk well on leash. I previously shared a home with other dogs but a meet and greet is always recommend if you have another dog in the home. If you are interested in making me part of your family, please submit an adoption application located here: mhttps://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/. RAC staff will be in touch with approved applicants in order to schedule a meet and greet. My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed, current on my rabies vaccine, microchipped, up to date on my basic boosters, and I am heartworm negative.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This handsome boy needs a very special human in his life as he just can not bring himself to trust many humans. Prince might like someone immediately but it is rare, he did not like his foster mom at all initially but now he is really loving and adoring with her. He is an outgoing and fun dog once he chooses to trust someone and otherwise makes it clear he prefers to be left alone. Prince lives with lots of other dogs and is especially playful with many of the smaller dogs in his home. He has not been cat tested but ignores the cats in their catio in his foster home. He has learned to accept and walk on a leash and even enjoys going for walks now. He is house-trained and has good house manners which is great because he hates being in a crate.He needs a home without a lot of people coming and going and/or with a place he can be away from people that do not live with him and no young children. His perfect home would be his human and how many other dogs his human would like to have live with them.

Mork and Mindy were part of a large group of dogs that were abandoned in a poor area known for stray dogs. They survived because a few people in that area fed them, and 1 lady in particular tries to help as many as she can. We took them to get them off the street and give them a better life. These are sweet dogs that just need a chance to show you their personalities and their love. Rescued dogs like this make great pets because they are so grateful. Pinto was one of 7 pups that came to us with their Mom, Paisley. They were very fearful and unsocialized. Over time we rehabilitated 3 of his siblings and they were adopted. Pinto is now showing signs of progress and for the right home, is ready. A loving and patient home is what he needs to overcome his remaining fears but he is loving and wants to be your good boy! Breezy is an almost 5 year old love bug! I adopted him when he was 1 years old and have had him since. My schedule has gotten a lot busier than anticipated and I am unable to keep him due to how much I am away. He would be perfect in a home with older or no kids and no other pets preferably. Breezy has not been around small children enough to understand how to be gentle with them. He also loves to go outside, so a house with a yard is best. Breezy is amazing! I am truly saddened to have to do this, but I understand that it is what is best as he deserves so much more than I can give him currently. He is completely house and crate trained though he does not enjoy the crate, so he is left out to roam free with no issues. I have never had an issue with him chewing shoes or anything of the sort. Breezy is also very easily trained and knows a few tricks! All of his shots are up to date except his rabies vaccine.
