Story
Meet Willow!Hi there! My name is Willow, and I`m a sweet and playful four-year-old dog. I absolutely love being around kids, and I`m known for being great with them. Although I can be a bit skittish around men when we first meet, I quickly warm up and become playful once I feel comfortable.I have excellent house manners, which means I know how to behave well inside. I never beg for food, and you won`t hear me barking unnecessarily. At night, I love to sleep at the foot of my fosters`s bed, keeping them company and providing them with warmth and comfort.Sometimes, when my foster leaves, I may scratch at the door. However, with a bit of training and adjustment, this behavior will improve over time. It could be a good idea to consider using a crate or kennel to help me feel secure and comfortable when I`m alone.Overall, I`m a really nice dog, and I would make a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a loving and loyal furry friend. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
I am 70 years old. My son got me this dog as a puppy a little over a year ago. He wanted something that could protect me. She does the opposite of that, (haha). Ever since she was a puppy she has been a little skiddish of loud noises. She is an amazing, loving dog. She gets along with every animal, kids, adults, etc. She is house broken and crate trained. I sold my house back in June and moved in with my son. He bought some land and put up a house. However, in the process, his dog for some reason doesn't get along with my dog at all. When she passes my dog, it immediately begins a fight, so we have to keep them separated. Currently, we have recently moved and I've been keeping her in our shop because they don't get along. I have been taking her out on a leash since she was a puppy, but she still tugs while taking her out. She beginning to be too strong for me to walk her, so my son has to help me. She needs a fenced yard to run around in and someone to love her. She us amazing!!

Story
Meet Rocky, listed as a Smooth Collie, possibly Flat Coated Retriever that was picked up and brought to the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 12/6. He was abandoned by his owners Rocky weighs 39 pounds, is about two years old and has been neutered. He is Mr. Personality! He is a goofy, life-of-the-party kind of guy, spunky, energetic, and very lively! He is playful and wants to engage you, but wasn’t particularly interested in toys. He is friendly, affectionate, and tried to climb into my lap. Rocky knows the sit command and he walks well on a leash. He is possibly house trained. Rocky seems to have been well cared for and yet was left behind by the people he trusted most. He seems nervous in his kennel with the barking of the other dogs and yet when I got him out of his kennel and into a room in which he could move about and where it was quiet, he came alive! He loves treats and takes him gently. He would make someone that would stay committed to him a wonderful pet. He needs daily exercise, playtime, and interaction and above all wants to be an inside dog!

Story
Meet LUNA aka 40 lbs of pure love! This sweet girl is estimated to be about 5 years old and is ready to check out of her foster home and into her furever home. LUNA is a playful spirit who loves to fetch and put her toy collection to use. She's also a social butterfly who enjoys playing with other dogs. LUNA is also known for her enviable leash walking manners – her foster mom takes her on daily walks, and she does great. Her ideal furever home will have a fenced yard where LUNA can run and play to her heart’s content. Despite clearly being an active-lifestyle enthusiast, LUNA is also your ultimate cuddle buddy: She loves snuggling up with her favorite human on the couch, soaking up all the love and affection she can get. LUNA is a big fan of car rides, so if you’re looking for a canine companion to go on adventures with, she’s your girl! Her number one requirement? She’d prefer a cat-free home where she can be the center of attention. Does LUNA sound like the pawfect match for you? Then fill out the adoption questionnaire and get ready to meet her in person!
