Story
Meet Willow!Hi there! My name is Willow, and I`m a sweet and playful four-year-old dog. I absolutely love being around kids, and I`m known for being great with them. Although I can be a bit skittish around men when we first meet, I quickly warm up and become playful once I feel comfortable.I have excellent house manners, which means I know how to behave well inside. I never beg for food, and you won`t hear me barking unnecessarily. At night, I love to sleep at the foot of my fosters`s bed, keeping them company and providing them with warmth and comfort.Sometimes, when my foster leaves, I may scratch at the door. However, with a bit of training and adjustment, this behavior will improve over time. It could be a good idea to consider using a crate or kennel to help me feel secure and comfortable when I`m alone.Overall, I`m a really nice dog, and I would make a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a loving and loyal furry friend. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
I am 70 years old. My son got me this dog as a puppy a little over a year ago. He wanted something that could protect me. She does the opposite of that, (haha). Ever since she was a puppy she has been a little skiddish of loud noises. She is an amazing, loving dog. She gets along with every animal, kids, adults, etc. She is house broken and crate trained. I sold my house back in June and moved in with my son. He bought some land and put up a house. However, in the process, his dog for some reason doesn't get along with my dog at all. When she passes my dog, it immediately begins a fight, so we have to keep them separated. Currently, we have recently moved and I've been keeping her in our shop because they don't get along. I have been taking her out on a leash since she was a puppy, but she still tugs while taking her out. She beginning to be too strong for me to walk her, so my son has to help me. She needs a fenced yard to run around in and someone to love her. She us amazing!!

Story
*MISTY* / 4 yrs old, female cattle dog mix / Heartworm positive --crate trained & housetrained --spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm positive & on treatment --LOVES LOVE! Very dog friendly, but wants to be the only dog & get lots of one-on-one attention. Her ideal home is one without dogs or young kids. --*Must have a completely fenced-in yard with a tall fence and should not be left unsupervised in the yard for more than a few minutes. Misty is quite athletic; she can scale an 8-ft fence with ease, and she loves the workout that digging provides. Misty's journey began as a street dog, but she managed to overcome adversity and raise a beautiful litter of six puppies, all of whom have found loving homes. She has been living with a foster and learning all about the comforts and expectations of living in a home. Misty thrives on human companionship and would benefit from having someone present during the day. If you have a flexible schedule, work from home, or can arrange for consistent human interaction, Misty will feel secure and content knowing there's someone there to support her. While Misty does enjoy the company of children, she would prefer a calm and gentle environment. Non-rambunctious kids who understand and respect her boundaries will be able to form a special bond with Misty. She is heartworm-positive and on treatment. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up-to-date on vaccines, deworming, heartworm tested, a supply of heartworm preventative, and microchip. If you would like to set up a meet and greet with this little lady, please fill out an interest-to-adopt form at www.scdrm.com, and we’ll be in touch!

Story
Rosa and Paco are a remarkable bonded 4-year-old pair who need a patient adopter who is experienced with feral dogs. These two were rescued in November 2020 from a hoarding case and are considered feral. They’re a little leary of pretty much everything around them except for each other! They are very sweet but just too nervous to let you get super close. Paco and Rosa are two souls with a unique story that speaks volumes about resilience, loyalty, and the transformative power of love. Having embarked on a somewhat feral journey, Paco and Rosa found themselves navigating the challenges of a smaller dog pack, where survival was their primary focus. Yet, beneath the layers of their initial shyness, a boundless potential to thrive in a loving home awaits. These two companions share an unbreakable bond—a testament to the strength found in friendship and the unwavering loyalty they have for each other. Though their past may have shaped them, Paco and Rosa now stand at the threshold of a new chapter, ready to blossom as they learn to trust and embrace the warmth of a caring home. Together, Paco and Rosa create a unique sense of security and comfort, providing each other with the support needed to flourish. Their journey is not just a story of survival but a beautiful testament to the resilience of animals and the transformative effects of love and care. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up-to-date on vaccines, deworming, heartworm tested, a supply of heartworm preventative, and microchip.
