Story
I am 70 years old. My son got me this dog as a puppy a little over a year ago. He wanted something that could protect me. She does the opposite of that, (haha). Ever since she was a puppy she has been a little skiddish of loud noises. She is an amazing, loving dog. She gets along with every animal, kids, adults, etc. She is house broken and crate trained. I sold my house back in June and moved in with my son. He bought some land and put up a house. However, in the process, his dog for some reason doesn't get along with my dog at all. When she passes my dog, it immediately begins a fight, so we have to keep them separated. Currently, we have recently moved and I've been keeping her in our shop because they don't get along. I have been taking her out on a leash since she was a puppy, but she still tugs while taking her out. She beginning to be too strong for me to walk her, so my son has to help me. She needs a fenced yard to run around in and someone to love her. She us amazing!!

Story
Meet Willow!Hi there! My name is Willow, and I`m a sweet and playful four-year-old dog. I absolutely love being around kids, and I`m known for being great with them. Although I can be a bit skittish around men when we first meet, I quickly warm up and become playful once I feel comfortable.I have excellent house manners, which means I know how to behave well inside. I never beg for food, and you won`t hear me barking unnecessarily. At night, I love to sleep at the foot of my fosters`s bed, keeping them company and providing them with warmth and comfort.Sometimes, when my foster leaves, I may scratch at the door. However, with a bit of training and adjustment, this behavior will improve over time. It could be a good idea to consider using a crate or kennel to help me feel secure and comfortable when I`m alone.Overall, I`m a really nice dog, and I would make a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a loving and loyal furry friend. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Barkley, a playful and spirited collie mix with a sweet personality. He may start off with a burst of energy, but it doesn’t take long for him to settle down and relax. Barkley enjoys playing with toys and is never destructive with them. He does get along with kids and dogs. Has not been tested with cats yet. He’s treat-motivated and will sit right away for a tasty reward. While he loves affection, Barkley is also perfectly content entertaining himself with a toy. This happy little guy is ready to bring both fun and companionship to his new home!

Story
This handsome boy needs a very special human in his life as he just can not bring himself to trust many humans. Prince might like someone immediately but it is rare, he did not like his foster mom at all initially but now he is really loving and adoring with her. He is an outgoing and fun dog once he chooses to trust someone and otherwise makes it clear he prefers to be left alone. Prince lives with lots of other dogs and is especially playful with many of the smaller dogs in his home. He has not been cat tested but ignores the cats in their catio in his foster home. He has learned to accept and walk on a leash and even enjoys going for walks now. He is house-trained and has good house manners which is great because he hates being in a crate. He needs a home without a lot of people coming and going and/or with a place he can be away from people that do not live with him and no young children. His perfect home would be his human and how many other dogs his human would like to have live with them.

Story
Meet Talya, a shy but incredibly affectionate 9-month-old girl who just needs a little time and love to reveal her true, gentle nature. Though she can be reserved at first, once Talya warms up, she becomes a sweet and loving companion who bonds deeply with her humans. Her true confidence shines when she’s around other dogs, and she absolutely thrives in their company. Playtime with her canine friends is where she feels happiest and most secure. Talya is already crate-trained and potty-trained, and she’s eager to show off her smarts—especially when there are treats involved! She quickly sits on command and is ready to learn more in the hands of a patient, loving family. While Talya does struggle with her confidence, especially when left alone, she has the potential to blossom with the right guidance and support. A home with at least one other dog would be ideal for her, as she takes great comfort in having a furry friend by her side to show her the ropes. With a patient, understanding family who can provide her with plenty of love, reassurance, and a calm environment, Talya will learn that the world isn’t so scary after all. Talya’s future is bright, and she’s looking for a family who can help her build her confidence and enjoy all the love, fun, and security life has to offer. She’s a gentle soul who needs a peaceful, nurturing environment where she can feel safe and supported as she continues to grow.
