Story
What Junior`s foster parents have to say about him -- Approximate age: About 5 yearsApproximate size: 45-50 lbsGood with dogs? Yes once he warms upCats? Hasn`t been tested yetKids? Hasn`t been tested yet, but think he`d be fine with themHow are they doing with potty training? He`s decent, but we do still catch him trying to mark in the house. It is getting much better though. How are they doing in their crate? He HATES the crate and will tear himself up trying to get out of it.Energy level? Couch potatoAny issues with guarding? Not that we`ve noticedLeash reactivity? He does react to other dogs on the leash at times. I think it all stems from him being attacked and he tries to get his bluff in early. He`s not a mean dog at all.Fearful? Not that we`ve noticedAggression? Wouldn`t call it aggression, but he does seem to try and pick on the new dogs who have arrived here after him. We correct him and he`s been fine with them.Separation anxiety? Yes. He does not like to be away from you/contained. He will scratch the door if he`s shut in the room without you. We leave him uncrated downstairs when we leave and he does fine. He does have Buddy and Autumn with him, so he`s not alone. Anything else you’d like to add?Junior is the biggest cuddle bug you`ll meet. This boy wants to be curled up in your lap (or beside you because he`s not tiny) as much as he possibly can. He is your shadow when you`re home and will be wherever you are. He is a pretty lazy boy, but has started engaging with the other dogs to play here and there. His perfect home would be with someone who`s retired or works from home. He loves to be on the couch/in bed with you, so a family who doesn`t mind dogs on the furniture is a must. I think he enjoys having the other dogs around, but a home with another dogs isn`t a must for him.

Story
Hippo may be a short king, but his personality is larger than life. This wiggly cutie can’t run very fast, but when excited, he just might balance on his hind legs to show off! A true people dog, Hippo thrives on companionship and is partial to a kind hand offering treats. He’s happiest outdoors, exploring his surroundings with his nose to the ground, and likes to snuggle up after a day of adventure. On walks, Hippo is learning to master his leash manners. While he tugs a bit at first, he quickly adjusts to your pace after a few strolls together. He’s dog-friendly and calm when meeting other pups up close, though he can’t resist barking at distant dogs. With a little guidance and his natural smarts—he’s even figured out how to unlock doors!—Hippo is already showing promise with commands like “come here” and “let’s go”. Unless, of course, he’s too busy investigating something fascinating. Hippo’s ideal match is someone who appreciates his playful quirks, supports his learning of how to interact with other dogs, and likes to indulge in his appreciation of the great outdoors. This little guy is all heart, and ready to share it with a forever person. **Paid transport can be arranged. Story
Nilo joined our family at just 3 months old and has adored his big sis Bella ever since! He’s incredibly smart, full of energy, and loves playing outdoors. When he’s all tired out, he’s the most cuddly dog. Nilo looks up to Bella as his role model, and their bond is inseparable. Whether lounging on the couch or playing in the yard, Nilo always follows Bella’s lead. Due to a family health crisis, we’ll be abroad for months and hope to find Bella and Nilo a loving home where they can stay together.

Story
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** Easy-going little Keebler hasn't had the smoothest of lives prior to coming into our program, but she sure is a happy gal now that she's here! Keebler has been allowed to breed many times over, and while she may not favor spending time with other dogs(and is VERY unsure of cats), she's elated to be in the company of humans! Chatty(she's a woo girl) Keebler is a blank slate when it comes to basic obedience but does decently on a leash, and is quickly learning the simpler commands while she waits for a sunny spot on a comfy couch to call her own. As she's settled into life at the shelter, pretty little Keebler has made it clear her goal is to be an only pet, and we're happy to oblige this request! She's just enough spunk to be the center of attention, which is just how she likes it. This mashup of doggie genetics has us confused on just what makes a Keebler, so a DNA panel has been ordered and results will be listed as soon as we have them. A funny little old lady in a dog suit, Keebler is the type who'd likely make a mean key lime pie and chain smoke(but only on Bunco nights) were she human. If you're looking for a no-fuss pup who takes life slow and easy, Keebler's your girl. *** Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org The adoption fee of $225 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines. Transport is available and can be discussed on an individual basis. Thank you for considering a rescued former street dog for your next family member!
