Are you seeking a perfectly, well-rounded dog? Then look no further, ‘cause I’m your gal. Hi! Natalie, here! So far, everyone I have met considers me a friendly pooch with a playful personality, who is always up for an adventure. I am housebroken and already know my basic commands. Trust me, I’m a dream to train! As a Collie mix, my cute looks, sweet nature and eagerness to please are to die for. If you're looking for a canine companion who's always down to explore and have some fun, I promise I am the one for you! As far as fellow animal companions and human kiddos go, I just can’t get enough of them, so I would fit perfectly into a large family - no matter who’s already part of the pack! I consider myself an affectionate pooch who loves nothing more than curling up on the couch with my humans, so I would be a great companion for those cozy nights in as well. If you're ready to welcome a fun-loving, fur-filled friend into your life, then submit an application to meet me today!

Taking the internet by storm, meet these iconic celebrity duos! Victoria & David, Taylor & Kelce, Justin & Hailey, and Zendaya & Tom have stolen hearts after being surrendered to our program through the ACS Casa initiative. Upon their arrival, they were showered with love and care—receiving thorough clinical check-ups, flea, tick, and worm prevention, and of course, a hearty meal. We assume this crew of eight predominately carries traits from the Border Collie and Labrador Retriever family. That would mean they will be highly trainable, outgoing, and active dogs. With proper training and exercise, they will be the ‘IT’ companion. As you can imagine, the pup-arazzi are already obsessed with these adorable stars, and we know you will be too! Story
Mary, aka Mary-Anna Banana, cannot wait to meet you! She’s an adorable 5 mo old black, white, and brown collie/shepherd mix who will delight you with her affection and antics. Mary enjoys running and playing with other dogs, playing with squeaky and crinkling dog toys, and, at her age, chewing on toys to help with teething. Her bright and eager eyes will undoubtedly catch your attention, and you’ll soon be at her mercy. This dog is cute, cute, cute—and gives the most enjoyable kisses when picked up and snuggled. As active as she is, Mary also appreciates a good snuggle and is very people oriented. She makes a most excellent napping partner. She thoroughly enjoys running and playing with kiddos. Her best playmate is a 5 yr old neighbor. Mary will do well in a wide variety of home situations, as long as she is loved and gets to spend a lot of time with her human(s). Mary sleeps through the night in her crate and is actively potty training. She is spayed, UTD on vaccines (2nd round of shots completed), microchipped, and current on preventatives. She is just under 20 lbs and should grow to be a medium sized dog. Mary is a very special girl! Click on the link and meet her today!

Story
Introducing Auburn! Auburn is a beautiful Cattle Dog / Heeler mix who is approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 30 pounds. We rescued this gorgeous gal from the Hondo, TX shelter and although we don’t really know much bout he background, it is clear that people have not always been very kind to her. During her spay surgery, our vet discovered that she had been shot in the leg with a pellet gun. All of that is behind her now and we are excited to help this sweet girl find the loving home she deserves. Auburn is a gentle and curious. She needs someone who will go slow with her so that she can feel comfortable knowing that she will be treated kindly. Once she feels safe, she loves getting attention and affection. She gets along well with the other dogs in her playgroup and is happy and playful! With patience and lots of love we know Auburn will blossom and become a wonderful, loving companion to her new family. She is just waiting for that special person to understand her! She has a heart of gold and shows ZERO aggression of any kind. Sweet, submissive and needs one on one time and love, that we cannot give her here at the rescue. Auburn is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $325. A meet and greet will be arranged with an approved application. Auburn tested positive for Chagas disease and has started her treatment. This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. Our rescue is one of the first to do Chagas testing for all of the dogs in our care and is having measurable success in the treatment protocol. We are also focused on continued education and awareness of Chagas to help even more dogs. Story
Izzie is a wonderful Cattle Dog Boxer mix who is approximately 4 years old and weighs 50 pounds. She was found living on the streets in a neighborhood in Weslaco, Texas near the border of Mexico. Everyone knew who she was, but no-one claimed her as their own. She was pregnant and had her babies under an abandoned trailer home. Local children heard the puppies crying and they crawled under the house to pull all of them out ! She did a good job of taking care of her babies. She is just such a sweet mama dog. All of that is behind her now! Izzie is such sweet girl with the most wonderful disposition. She is friendly, playful and is always happy to jump in the car and go on an adventure. She loves love love riding in the car, and would honestly make a great traveling companion! She loves everyone she meets and her tail is always wagging. Izzie gets along well with the other dogs in her group here at the rescue and is learning that toys are pretty cool, too. She is crate trained for her meals and for sleeping but if you asked Izzie, curling up next to her people in a warm bed would be a-ok with her as well. We just love this girl and can see her doing well in just about any family environment! Izzies updated video! We love her! https://youtu.be/HyGle1h6j3w?si=Ee0LDgfMYpt-DF04 Izzie is located in at our rescue in Hondo, Texas and is available for transport to St Augustine, FL on December 21st. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, and microchipped. A generous donor has offered to pay half of Izzie's adoption fee, so her adoption fee is $200. The fee includes the transport cost. Izzie tested positive for Chagas disease and has completed her treatment. The great news is she has completed her treatment and will get her follow up blood work done on Dec 4th to confirm she is NEGATIVE! We are so happy for her! This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. Our rescue is one of the first to do Chagas testing for all of the dogs in our care and is having measurable success in the treatment protocol. We are also focused on continued education and awareness of Chagas to help even more dogs.
