Sophie is an 10 year old, 70lb, spayed Collie mix. She is up to date on her vaccinations and is heartworm negative. She is good with children and loves to play with other dogs. She would not do well with cats or chickens due to her prey drive. Sophie is crate and house trained and walks well on leash. She is an active, playful girl who prefers daily walks to get her energy out. She would love to snuggle with you on the couch and give hugs to everyone she meets! Sophie came into our rescue as a young puppy, she was adopted twice and had forever homes for approximately 3-1/2 years both times. Both times she was returned due to changes in the family dynamics through no fault of hers. She is looking for a REAL forever home this time - one that she can live out her remaining years with love and companionship. Housebreaking her should be easy since her favorite spots to eliminate are all outdoors! A natural with kids, Bambi has lived with another dog before, so she would also make a good pal for your resident dog! Bambi has tested positive for heartworm disease, but don't let that deter you from taking her home--our staff will give you all the info you need to get her heartworm-free! As an Australian cattle dog mix, she is a smarty pants who knows how to sit, lie down, and speak and has energy to spare, easily expended by playing a serious game of fetch! A tired Bambi is a good Bambi, and her dog bed will look very inviting after daily exercise! If you are looking for an adventure partner, Bambi will keep you moving--and don't you think she'd look great riding shotgun all the way home???
