Story
Meet Colt! Colt is a loving, affectionate, and super cuddly boy who wants to be by your side at all times. He’s a true "velcro dog" who loves to follow his people around the house and shower them with attention. Colt's favourite treats include liver bites and Dentastix, though he’s happy to eat just about anything! When it comes to meeting new people, Colt is friendly and kind, including with kids. He gets excited and pulls on walks, especially when he sees other dogs, but shows curiosity and interest rather than aggression when calmly observing them from a distance. We believe his reactivity may just be leash related rather than a true dislike of other dogs. Colt also pulls on the leash and gets very focused on small animals like squirrels and birds, so he needs a confident handler during walks. While Colt is completely house trained, he struggles with separation anxiety and doesn’t like being left alone. He can be destructive if left unattended for too long, so he’d do best with a family who is home often and can give him lots of attention and companionship. Colt is a confident and happy dog who would thrive in a home where he gets plenty of love, exercise, and playtime. He’s great in a city environment and isn’t fazed by loud noises or traffic, making him a great fit for urban living. He’d be happiest as the only pet in a household that can give him lots of affection and doesn’t leave him alone for long periods. Think you might be the right fit to provide a loving home for Colt? Story
I'm Bandit, and I'm on a journey to find a forever family that will appreciate my loyalty and dedication. While I've had my share of challenges, I'm working hard on becoming the best version of myself, and I'm ready for the next adventure in life. I was surrendered to Dog Tales because I was protective of my family. It takes me some time to warm up to new people, but I've been putting in the effort and making lots of progress in my training. I'm a smart pup who's eager to learn and please my humans. I need a family who is committed to continuing my training journey, and I promise to give it my all. With the right guidance, I know I can be the best companion you've ever had. I can be selective with dogs, so it's important that any potential canine companions are a good fit for my personality. Plenty of playtime and fetch sessions are a must—I absolutely love playing with my people. I'm always ready for the next adventure. Whether it's a game of fetch, a hike in the woods, or simply enjoying quality time together, I'm up for it. I'm excited to share my love, loyalty, and intelligence with a family who will appreciate all that I have to offer. If you're willing to invest time and effort into helping me become the best dog I can be, then I'm ready to be your dedicated companion. Together, we can create a future filled with love, training successes, and exciting adventures.

Story
This energetic boy is looking for a confident and active owner. Bairn is high energy and loves to keep busy! He enjoys going for runs, long walks, swimming and cuddling with his people. Bairn thrives with constant training and loves to learn new things - he is such a smarty pants! He is reactive to new people, dogs and some vehicles; he will need to be walked on a muzzle as a precaution. Bairn’s reactivity is decreased greatly with a combination of: draining his energy, always keeping distance from triggers, positive reinforcement for good behaviour, and constant training on his walks to occupy his mind and keep him in control. Bairn will need a dedicated owner to continue this with him long term. Bairn is not friendly with new people and will need slow controlled interactions when introducing him to a new person. Once he can trust you, he is a lovable and goofy guy. Patience and understanding can go a long way with Bairn and, in time, he will prove he is the best boy! He is only suitable in a house with a fully fenced yard with no small children or other dogs.

Not good with kids, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Flawless was surrendered to us from an extremely neglectful situation. She spent the first few weeks in the hospital being treated for an infected wound on her paw and on a re-feeding schedule due to being emaciated. This is an experience no puppy should ever have to endure. Fast forward to now, Flawless is thriving. She is healthy as can be, her coat is luscious and she has filled out. She is ready for her forever home. She is extremely high energy, she loves to play fetch and learn new things. Flawless has been getting better with dogs with slow introductions, and instead of being fearful and reactive (as she once was) she engages to play with dogs and is very curious. She will still require slow and controlled introductions with dogs. Flawless is as sweet and cuddly as can be with people she is familiar with. She is a good listener and will follow you like your shadow. She gets extremely attached to her people. With strangers Flawless can be very reactive and wary. It takes her some time to trust people. She will require slow and cautious introductions. Her ideal home would be with someone that does not have visitors often, and when they do they are prepared to work on building relationships. It will take time and patience for her to make friends. Flawless could possibly go to a home with another dog after a few meet and greets at Dog Tales to ensure they are compatible. She would do best in an adult only home with someone that is home often.
