It has healed but it healed incorrectly. At this time other than discrepancy in the length of the legs, there appear to be no problems as he is using the leg. However in the future if he stops using the leg an amputation may become necessary. It would be beneficial to have him to remain on a joint supplement like Dasaquin or Cosequin, and he should remain at a healthy weight.   Hutchinson is a happy guy who is ready to love on you!   Foster Home Feedback  1/25/2025 Foster Feedback:  Hutchinson (Hutch, Hutchy) is a total sweetheart. He would do absolutely great in any household. Hutch is such a lover. He will be attached to your hip and want to cuddle and sit on your lap. From experience, you won’t want it any other way.  Hutchinson is an excellent listener and very respectful of boundaries. He likes to play with his friends at home (he has three older foster siblings) but listens very well to the boundaries set by the oldest one. He is also very content entertaining himself with a bone or toy when nobody is up for playtime—and so down for a nap.  Hutchinson has done amazing with potty training. We let him out for multiple potty breaks, and he is quick to do his business. Hutchinson gets fed in his kennel and will go there for a nap or playtime with himself. However, we are working on him being comfortable in his kennel when we are gone- that he doesn’t seem to like. We have left him out to free roam when being gone for shorter periods, and he has done amazing. He will find a cozy spot by his friends for a nap with zero accidents. Hutch also does amazing on a leash and rides well in the car. He is a calm boy for still being a puppy, and did I mention sweet?  Hutchy is the best boy. You will fall in love with his big brown eyes and his lovable, goofy presence!  To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org February 13, 2025, 12:07 am

Story
Intake Date: 25 October 2024 -------- Age at intake: 1-2 years ----- Breed: Collie mix ----- Size: 50 lbs ----- Status: Reservation capture/transfer ----- Compatible with: Dogs, cats, children. ----- Suitable for: home with a fenced yard. ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: requires grooming ----- Additional Notes: Welcome Klienz! This beyond handsome boy was a reservation capture. There are several reservation lists we follow as they often have very limited time (a couple of days) and if placement isn't secured, they are killed on site in ways we won't discuss. So since Petal was catching a lift we had Klienz join too. Klienz is a needy boy who never wants to be left to fend for himself again. So he can he a bit clingy. He is good with other dogs large and small and seems to ignore cats so far which is impressive unless they run, and then he seems interested. He is a sweet and gorgeous boy. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption is finalized at that time. Adoption fee is $175 and all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are not guaranteed but often a best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. If a yard is present, a secure fence is required.
